Denstone College is celebrating another strong set of GCSE results, reflecting the commitment, determination and character shown by pupils throughout their studies.
While today marks the culmination of years of hard work, staff at the College were keen to recognise that success is measured in many different ways. Alongside excellent academic outcomes, pupils have continued to contribute to every aspect of school life, from sport, music and drama to leadership, service and co-curricular activities.

Head, Lotte Tulloch, said:
"GCSE results day is always a special moment, not simply because of the grades achieved, but because it provides an opportunity to reflect on the journey each pupil has taken. We are delighted to see our pupils rewarded for their hard work, and we are proud of the maturity and determination they have shown along the way.

These young people have embraced opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, developing confidence, curiosity and a genuine willingness to contribute to the wider community. Today is a day to celebrate their achievements and to look forward with excitement to the next stage of their education."

As always, these pupils will now progress into Denstone College Sixth Form, where they will continue to pursue a broad range of academic and co-curricular opportunities.

The College extends its congratulations to all pupils receiving results today and thanks parents, guardians and staff for their continued support throughout the GCSE years.

In July this summer Reeva in Year 8 was selected to compete for the England 138 pony showjumping team at the Scottish home pony international at Bogenraith equestrian Centre in Aberdeen. Reeva and her pony 'Sandy’s Mel' rode fantastically producing 2 x double clears at 1m10 and 1m.15 to secure gold for Team England.

At the same show Reeva’s younger sister Nila in Prep 4 was selected to compete for the combined home nations under 10’s team again Nila and her pony 'Flash' delivered the goods with 2 foot perfect clear rounds to help her team take the gold medal.

GCSE results day is tomorrow, and we're wishing every one of you the very best.

Well done to Joe E and Fin who represented England Rugby yesterday, along with Will, Joe W, Lucas and Seb who all enjoyed playing for Leicester Tigers on Friday. Another busy few days of rugby for Denstone.

Boarding at Denstone College offers a supportive, welcoming environment where pupils build independence, friendships and confidence. With experienced house staff and a strong sense of community, boarding truly becomes a home from home.

Today marks an important milestone for our Upper Sixth students as they receive their A Level results and prepare to take their next steps beyond Denstone College.

While results are one measure of achievement, they tell only part of the story of this remarkable cohort. Over the course of their time at Denstone, they have distinguished themselves not simply through academic endeavour, but through their commitment to the wider life of the school, their support for one another, and the resilience and maturity with which they have embraced both opportunities and challenges.

What has impressed us most about this year group is their sense of purpose. They have been ambitious for themselves whilst remaining deeply engaged with the community around them, contributing as leaders, performers, sportspeople, volunteers and friends. Their success today reflects sustained hard work, but also curiosity, determination and a willingness to make the most of the opportunities available to them.

As they leave Denstone, our students will follow a wide variety of paths. Many will progress to universities in the UK and overseas, others to apprenticeships, professional training and a range of exciting ventures. What unites them is not a single destination, but the confidence and character to pursue their ambitions and make a positive difference wherever life takes them.

I would like to thank our staff and parents for the guidance, encouragement and care they have provided throughout these students' journeys. Most importantly, I congratulate our leavers themselves. We are immensely proud of all they have achieved and look forward to seeing the impact they will undoubtedly have in the years ahead.

Congratulations to Freddie in First Form on passing his Grade 8 Trumpet Exam with Merit!

Freddie sat the exam at the end of the summer term, and he's already looking ahead, he'll begin working towards his Diploma when he returns to The Junior Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in September.
