The Prep at Denstone College

So much to celebrate in assembly today - soloist performances, dog training success, swimming and football wins, as well as a Passion Assembly presentation from Prep 4 pupils about their passion of netball.

Prep 5 have been hard at work today creating sculptures to adorn the woods for our upcoming production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Yay! The Mystery Teacher (aka Mr B!) chose Prep 3 for this week’s treat, for being the most respectful class when walking around the site. Well done Prep 3.

WINNERS - Enveloping EDIB in the Curriculum

Special Mention for Improvements in EDIB - A fantastic acknowledgement of the progress and commitment shown across the school.

Diversity and Inclusion in Sport - We were also proud finalists in this category, celebrating our inclusive approach to sport and physical activity.

These achievements reflect the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils, and our ongoing commitment to embedding Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging throughout school life.

A huge well done to everyone involved.

Instrumentalists from the Prep and College were incredible on Tuesday evening. A mix programme from Coldplay to Schubert was performed with 100% professionalism at our Junior Soloists’ Concert. Very well done, especially to those prep pupils who took it all in their stride. The future is musical.

We’ve had an absolutely fantastic day at Sheepwash Farm, thank you to everyone for being so friendly and generous with your time. You’ve given us loads to think about!

We're thrilled to be recognised in the following categories:
Improvements in EDIB – celebrating our commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging across the school.

Enveloping EDIB in the Curriculum – showcasing how we weave these values into every lesson and learning experience.

Diversity and Inclusion in Sport – highlighting our inclusive approach to sports and how we support all students.

Winners will be announced on Friday 12th June 2026. Fingers crossed! 🤞

The Prep at Denstone College is a finalist in the Education Choices Awards 2026, in Category I: Diversity and Inclusion in Sport.

We’re absolutely delighted to be recognised alongside so many inspiring schools, and proud of the inclusive sporting culture we work hard to build every day where every child feels welcome, supported, and able to get involved.
