Someone asked me what year is the best year to start tuition to prepare for Year 6 Sats. Obviously, it does vary from child to child, but I would say Year 4 is a great time to start, Year 5 is a must and Year 6 is the last resort. That said, it's not always about exams, sometimes it's just about relieving school pressure, finding confidence and getting a child to like a subject more. One to one can definitely be a great option for some children.

Calling all parents of children commencing Year 5 in September!

The start of Year 5 is the best time to start tutoring, if you want your child to gain confidence for Year 6. It means they have time to build up their knowledge and confidence in a more controlled way, so that by the start of Year 6 they are already fully prepared for the challenges the SATs year puts in front of them. Don't wait until Year 6 if you can help it!
