Tonight the chateau erupted with music 🎶 🎵 and good times 😁.
The learners (and staff 😬) fully let their hair down, an excellent way to round off a brilliant couple of days.

On The Normandy trip today we've experienced more monuments and lasting evidence of WWII.

The day began with the Arromanches 360 circular cinema which immersed us all into some of the experiences of those who lived it first hand.

Afterwards we moved onto the D-Day museum which proved to be particularly apt as the learners got a deep insight into the engineering efforts and magnitude that unfolded by the military engineers 🛠 📏.

The scale of the dock network created amazed the learners and a significant amount of this was still visible and preserved for us to see.

Finally we attended the British memorial where many were able to search up their family name and identify those who were potentially linked to them that may have fallen during WWII.

Another hugely thought inducing but incredibly interesting day out here in Normandy.

Now, back to the chateau for swimming 🏊‍♂️, karaoke 🎤 🎶, cheese tasting 🧀 and a BBQ 😃.

Today the learners on the Normandy trip have spent the first part of the day visiting Omaha beach and both the German and Allied Forces cemeteries.

An amazing yet sombre experience that really bought home to our young people the huge loss of life experienced during the second World War.

We're now heading back to the chateau to start our evening programme.

Then off to bed for some R&R 😴 before tomorrow's busy schedule!
