Meet the staff!

Today, we meet Miss Sowter, one of our fantastic Teaching Assistants:

"My favourite things to do are going for walks, playing games with my family and most recently, going to the park with my toddler - he loves going on the slide over and over again!
My favourite thing to do in Tynsel Parkes is getting creative - Art, Photography and obviously, a bit of dancing, I love it all!
I don't have any pets, but we would love to get a cat one day, preferably a Ragdoll, I think they're just beautiful!"

We are currently experiencing some difficulties with our phone lines. The engineers have been notified and are aware so hopefully this will be sorted soon and a fix put in place.

UPDATE: we have had calls diverted to another phone so you should now be able to contact us. Thank you for your patience.

Dear Parent/Carers,

On Thursday 1st October 2026- TOMORROW, it is School Census Day. This important day is when the Government collects data on the number of children taking Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)- for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The funding our school receives for the year is directly influenced by the number of infant children who take a school meal on this day.
Parents could we encourage you to log in to SchoolGrid and choose a meal option with your child before the day. If a meal choice has not been selected, a member of staff will help your child choose an option on the day.
To make the day extra special, Dolce have arranged a fun, space-themed menu featuring some of our most popular options:

Mains
Chicken Meteor-Bite Burger
Venus Veggie Burger (VG)
Spaceship Sandwich Bar
Big Bang Baked Potato Bar (V) (GF)
Accompaniments
Guardian Fries of the Galaxy (VG) (GF)
Planetary Peas (VG) (GF)
Black Hole Beans (VG) (GF)
Solar System Salad Bar (VG) (GF)
Tomato Ketchup (VG) (GF)

Desserts
Jupiter Jelly & Ice Cream (V) (GF)
Cosmic Cookie (VG)
Fresh Fruit

Thank you for your support in helping us maximise our funding on this important day. The additional funding received helps us continue to provide the best possible opportunities and resources for our children.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Kind regards,
The School Team

Welcome to our new Reading Ambassadors for this year! We tried to take some photos of them but to be honest, we couldn't get their heads out of a book!

Look out for reading events and competitions through the year that our fabulous Ambassadors will help to run.

They will be on the playground every Friday dinner time to read with anyone who wishes too.

Well done Reading Ambassadors!
