Congratulations to our outstanding Year 6 football team, who secured their place in the County Cup Final with a thrilling 7-3 victory. The team made a flying start, racing into a 3-0 lead through some excellent attacking football and clinical finishing. However, credit to the opposition, who battled back strongly to level the score at 3-3 by half-time, setting up a tense second half.
The response from the team after the break was nothing short of superb. Showing tremendous togetherness, resilience and determination, the players regrouped and produced an excellent second-half performance. Their hard work, commitment to one another and positive attitude shone through as they regained control of the game and scored four great goals to seal a 7-3 win.
Everyone involved should be incredibly proud of their efforts as they now look forward to representing the school in the County Cup Final.

5E3 have impressed Ms Brookes, Mrs Roberts and Mrs Ashley today! Within our topic of Travel and Adventure, we have been looking at the story of Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay climbing Mount Everest. The class then planned, scripted, practised and performed their take on this adventure. Well done everyone!

Huge well done to Isaac, who ran the Race for Life in Stoke in memory of his Grandad Pepper and Great Aunty Ann, who sadly passed away just three weeks apart this year.
Isaac wanted to do something special to honour them and raised an amazing ยฃ365. He set himself a target of 40 minutes and completed the race in under 35 minutes.
We are incredibly proud of Isaac, not only for his determination and achievement, but also for showing such strength during a very difficult time. He is already looking forward to his next challenge: a muddy run at Hanley Forest Park in July.

It was another very successful evening for our KS3 Athletics team, full of fantastic performances, determination, and camaraderie. Some students won their events, which means they will hopefully be selected to represent the District in the County championships later this month.
We're looking forward to receiving the team selection later this week.
