At Abbotsford we are very proud of our before and after school clubs and offer an incredible 25 clubs to our children! There is something for every child from Pre-school to Prep 6 including taekwondo, puppetry, mindfulness, dance, acro, maths, coding, art and forest school as well as many, many more. Today we have posted off a letter to the council asking if they would consider replacing the bin outside our school with a recycling bin as the bin currently has an open top and rubbish flies out regularly. Our Eco Council have been litter picking in the local area this term and it has been one of our ambitions to help keep Urmston tidy.

We are very proud of their passion and commitment to ensuring that everyone is recycling as much as they can. Fantastic work Eco Council.

We look forward to receiving a reply from the council soon.

Join us this Monday for our Teddy Bears’ Picnic Open Morning at Abbotsford Preparatory School.

Bring your favourite teddy and enjoy a morning of storytelling, outdoor play, creative activities, a teddy bear hunt and picnic treats.

It’s the perfect opportunity to explore our beautifully refurbished Little Gems Nursery and meet our friendly Early Years team. We are also re-launching our Little Gems Nursery so come and see it in action.

It's been a week of sporting success here at Abbotsford. We hosted a football event for prep 1 to 4 on our astroturf pitch with schools coming from as far afield as Chester and Bradford. We look forward to hosting more!

Our girls football teams also had the opportunity to play against other schools in a tournament and we are delighted two teams finished joint second and another of our teams finished fourth.

Fantastic teamwork and fun was had by all.
