What a very busy few weeks we have had! ☀️
We have been supporting the children in preparation for their new chapters, discussing their new schools, new friends & teachers!

Some of us have had school visits, & our new teachers visiting us at home too!
We have been enjoying listening to stories all about starting school, especially enjoying “Colour Monster goes to School”

We have had discussions on Summer, including what to wear to keep cool, hats, sun cream, shorts & t shirts!
We have enjoyed water play, especially outdoors 💦
To finish our week we had a fabulous time at our leavers/summer party!
We enjoyed our games & dancing!
We will see everyone next week for the final few days of the term! ☀️

What a busy few weeks we have had at our pre school 🌳
We have been keeping cool with lots of water & ice play both indoors & outside! 🧊 💦

We have continued to follow the story of, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” 🐛
We have had lots of fun creating our very own caterpillars at our play dough station!
We were excited to see that our caterpillars turned into their cacoons, then observed as the cacoons turned to beautiful butterflies 🦋

We were very excited to watch as we released them into our garden!
Following on from this we all enjoyed painting our own beautiful butterflies, they all look wonderful 🌳
The children have enjoyed learning all about the life cycle of the butterfly 🦋

Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on supporting independence & discussions on next steps for some of our older children that are going to school.

What a fantastic few weeks back we have had! 🌳
Everyone has settled in well & we can’t believe we are now in the final term of the year!
We have started our term with lots of interest in the life cycle of the butterfly 🦋
Supporting this learning we have been intrigued with our very own real life baby caterpillars 🐛
We have carefully been observing & showing curiosity as we have watched them grow each day!

We have enjoyed listening to the story of, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” supporting this we have explored our caterpillar sensory themed tuft tray looking at all the food the caterpillar eats!
We have had lots of discussions on the life cycle of the butterfly & the children are very excited to experience each stage.

We have enjoyed spending time outdoors in our beautiful outdoor space. Completing obstacles courses, exploring our outdoor kitchen & using our fine motor skills to make marks in the shaving cream!

To finish the week we have created some amazing masterpieces for our special role models for Father’s Day!

What a fantastic last few weeks of the term we have had! 🌳
The children have been engrossed in their learning & it has been wonderful to see. Over the last few weeks we have looked at growth & change.
This leading us into looking at the life cycle of flowers and plants.
We have had discussions on how flowers begin as a seed, grow roots, a stalk, leaves and finally their petals.
The children’s learning is now embedded as they confidently tell us what their flowers need to grow. “Sunlight & water”.
We have planted our very own cress seeds that we are very excited to watch grow!

Alongside this we have been manipulating play dough to create our very own flowers & bugs, thinking about the shapes and sizes promoting our mathematical development.
We have been enjoying our beautiful outdoor space in taking part in our yoga session’s & obstacle courses!
We hope everyone has a wonderful half term break & we will be back Monday 8th June where we begin to look at the life cycle of the butterfly 🦋

What a fantastic start to our Summer term!
There has been so much learning & fun 🌳
The children have enjoyed learning all about mini beast.
We have explored mini beast in our sensory tuft tray where we were very excited to discover the bugs hiding in the shredded paper.
We have looked at bug comparisons, identifying the colours we could see, various sizes, along with the similarities & differences. This all promoting our mathematical development.
Extending our learning further we had lots of fun exploring outdoors on our bug hunts, using our magnifying glasses we spied, spiders, Ants, ladybirds & snails!

The children have enjoyed exploring our new outdoor equipment in our beautiful outdoor space. We have used our fine motor skills to make marks using our large chalks, we have loved our outdoor kitchen pouring and filling using the pots and pans.
We have had lots of fun in the water tray, whilst taking turns balancing on our tyres & crates!

We have had a very busy few weeks of learning at our Pre - School 🌳
To finish our topic, “People who help us” we had an interactive & engaging visit from our local fire fighters 👨‍🚒 🔥
The children were fascinated with the fire truck 🚒 We were able to explore all of the equipment, looking at how the hose is used & how it can put our fires safely.

This week to finish the term we have enjoyed creating some beautiful Easter keep sakes for our families. We have explored our Easter themed tuft tray, decorated our very own Easter eggs and created some amazing Easter cards! 🐣
We hope everyone has a lovely Easter break and we will be back Monday 20th April for lots more learning and fun 🌳

What a delightful few weeks we have had at our wonderful Pre School 🌳
Last week we enjoyed creating some beautiful master pieces for our mummies. We enjoyed sharing why our mummies are so special to us 💓 🌷
This week we have continued to look at “People who help us”
The children have looked at real life photos of the police & police vehicles 👮‍♀️
We have enjoyed dressing up in our police uniforms, wearing police hats and taking each other’s finger prints in our play dough.
We have created some amazing collages of police cars 🚔 practicing the sounds the cars make.
To finish our week we have enjoyed lots of time in the Sunshine, taking our learning outdoors!
