And just like that.. the Class of 2026 has come to an end! 🥹❤️

Today has been one of those days filled with laughter, happy tears, proud moments, and a LOT of emotions! 😭🥰

To each and every one of our amazing children we are SO incredibly proud of you! Watching you grow, learn, make friends, overcome challenges, discover your personalities, and become the little people you are today has been an absolute privilege. 🌟

To all of our wonderful parents, thank you for choosing The Little People and for allowing us to be part of such an important chapter in your child's life. ❤️ We have built some truly incredible relationships with you all, and we really hope this isn't goodbye! Please keep in touch, pop back and see us, and hopefully we'll see lots of you again at holiday club! 🥰

After nearly 3 years with The Little People, today we say a very emotional goodbye to Jenna. ❤️

Jenna has been on this journey with us from the beginning of our George Street setting, and she has become such a huge part of our Little People family.

She has created some beautiful bonds with her key children and their families and has given so much love, care, and happiness to the children in her time with us.

Jenna, you will be SO incredibly missed by the children, parents, and every member of our team. 🥹❤️

🌿✨ Our Garden Has Had a Little Makeover! ✨🌿

What a transformation! Over the past week, we’ve been busy giving our garden a little revamp, creating exciting new spaces for the children to explore, learn, imagine, and socialise. 💚

🏗️ Construction Area
Our new construction area gives the children opportunities to use their imagination, work together, problem-solve, and develop their communication and social skills. Whether they’re building, designing, or creating, there’s always something happening! 👷‍♀️🧱

📚 Story & Communication Area
We’ve created a cosy story area complete with a beautiful teepee! 🏕️📖 This provides a calm space where children can enjoy books, share stories with friends, develop their vocabulary, and strengthen their communication and language skills.

🎨 Creative Area
Our new creative space, complete with an easel, gives children the freedom to explore paint, mark-making, chalk, and different creative techniques. This supports their imagination, creativity, and fine motor development while allowing them to express themselves through art. 🖌️🎨

🏖️ A Freshened-Up Sand Area
Our sand area has also had a refresh, ready for lots of messy, sensory, and imaginative play! Children can dig, scoop, pour, build, and explore while developing coordination, problem-solving skills, and mathematical language.

Our revamped garden provides more opportunities to play, explore, communicate, cooperate, create, problem-solve, and develop independence ,all through child-led, purposeful play. 💚

A huge THANK YOU to Chloe and Lauren for all their hard work, creativity, and effort in creating such beautiful spaces for our children. 🥰 You’ve helped turn our garden into an even more exciting place to learn, explore, and make memories!

💕 Care Home Fun with Residents! 💕

This morning, we had a very special trip to the care home, where our children had the most wonderful time spending time with the residents. 🥰

There was something for everyone, with lots of games and activities including Connect 4, Jenga, throwing and catching games, giant KerPlunk, basketball and table football! 🎲🏀

The children loved interacting with the residents, chatting, playing, and sharing lots of smiles and laughter. It was beautiful to see how much joy the children brought to the residents and how much the children enjoyed spending time with them, too. ❤️

Our visit gave the children so many valuable experiences, helping them to develop:
✨ Social skills and confidence through interacting with new people
🤝 Communication and listening skills through conversations and shared activities
💗 Empathy, kindness, and respect for older generations
🎯 Turn-taking and patience while playing games together
🏃 Physical skills and coordination** through throwing, catching, and basketball
🧠 Problem-solving and thinking skills
through games such as Connect 4 and Jenga
😊 A sense of belonging and community by building relationships beyond our preschool

We even enjoyed our lunch together in the main hall with the residents, making it feel like one big family gathering. 🥰

And a huge THANK YOU for our delicious ice lollies! 🍦 They went down an absolute treat! 😋

We finished our visit with plenty of singing and dancing… and let's just say our children have some SERIOUS moves! 💃🕺😂

A truly lovely morning filled with laughter, connection, and memories that we hope both the children and residents will treasure. ❤️

We can't wait to visit again! 🌈💕

🎉 **Staff Shout Out!** 🎉

A huge **congratulations** to our wonderful **Casey** on celebrating **2 years** with The Little People! 🥳💚🧡

From singing and dancing to *Nelly the Elephant* (yes... even on her wedding day! 😂🐘💃) to creating such strong, caring relationships with her key children, Casey always brings so much fun, kindness, and positivity to every day.

Thank you for everything you do, for all of your hard work, dedication, and the love and care you show to our children and families. We are so lucky to have you as part of our team, and we can't wait to see what the next chapter brings.

🌿🌼 **A Lovely Day Exploring & Planting!** 🌼🌿

This morning we enjoyed a lovely walk to our local garden centre to choose some new plants for our garden. 🌸🌱 The children had lots of fun picking their favourites, learning about the different plants, and even paying for them at the checkout! 💷

On the way back, we made a little pit stop to see the horses before treating ourselves to a well-earned drink at the café. ☕🧃

This afternoon, it was time to get our hands dirty! 🪴 The children helped to plant our new flowers and enjoyed talking about seeds, how plants grow, and what they need to stay healthy, including sunshine, water, and care. 🌞💧

We can't wait to watch our garden bloom over the coming weeks! 🌼💚

🎉🌟 End of Year Party! 🌟🎉

What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of another amazing year! ❤️

Today we celebrated the last day at pre-school for many of our wonderful children as they get ready to begin their next exciting chapter at school. 🎓📚

We had a lovely morning filled with party games, music, dancing and lots of laughter. This afternoon, we enjoyed our favourite tappy toes dance session before finishing the day with a delicious party tea together. 💃🎶🧁

To all of our families, thank you for your incredible support over the past year (and for many of you, the past two years). It has been a privilege to watch your children grow in confidence, make friendships, learn new skills, and flourish into the amazing little people they are today. ❤️

Thank you so much for all of your thoughtful cards, gifts, and kind words. Your generosity and appreciation mean the world to our team and are truly appreciated. 💐🎁

Although we are sad to say goodbye, we couldn't be prouder of every single one of our children. We know you are all ready for your next adventure, and we can't wait to hear all about the wonderful things you'll achieve at school. 🌈⭐

🌟 Intervention Group Work 🌟

Over the last month, we have been carrying out intervention groups across a range of learning areas throughout the week. These small group sessions provide targeted support to help children build confidence, develop new skills, and make progress in areas where they may need a little extra encouragement. 🌱✨

We have also been introducing the PEEP (Peers Early Education Partnership) programme into our intervention groups. 💛 The PEEP programme is an evidence-based approach that supports children's early learning through fun, interactive activities that promote communication, language, early literacy, and positive relationships. It also encourages parents and carers to get involved in their child's learning, helping to strengthen the home learning environment. 🏡❤️

📄 We have PEEP leaflets available for parents and carers, packed with simple ideas and activities that can easily be enjoyed at home. These fun activities help to reinforce the learning taking place in nursery and support your child's development through everyday play and routines. 🎨🧸

Graduation 2026 🎓

What an amazing afternoon we've had! The children loved every minute, and together, we've made memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to all of our parents for your support over the years. It has been a pleasure watching the children grow in confidence, learn, and thrive. They are now ready to take their exciting next step, and we couldn't be prouder of every single one of them.
