We started our new theme of The Farm with a brilliant visit to the farm today. The children milked a cow, watched the sheep being fed, held week old chicks, explored the farm buildings, chatted to chickens, stroked goats & horses & visited the pigs & piglets in the Piggery. They also had a great play on the woodland adventure playground & a picnic lunch before heading back home

One of the children found a snail in the garden today - we carefully transferred him into an insect examination pot & spent the morning watching & waiting as he eventually emerged from his shell & explored the pot using magnifying glasses to zoom in
Seeing the snail so close was super exciting for the children & they all loved watching him slither around
