When your teaching props come in handy! 👶 Excuse the awful drawings, safe to say I’m no artist but I’ve just started learning to do growth ultrasound scans and I’m trying to get to grips with the basics! 📚🎒Lots of new starts for January including my next course starting Monday night. Can’t wait. Course dates for later due dates are now available to book via the website too🤰

Only one day to go until the next Empowered Antenatal course starts and I can’t wait to meet everyone! My Sunday definitely consists of prepping and packing. So excited to connect more local parents and kick off this countdown towards those due dates together! 🤩

Happy international day of the midwife!! So grateful for my amazing colleagues who have mentored me, encouraged me, laughed with me, cried with me and kept me going through the ups and downs. Midwifery truly is a calling, not just a profession. Safe to say with the state of the NHS currently it’s not always the job we went into it for. Staff are completely stretched and underpaid/ undervalued by wider society. But we keep turning up because we care. We want to provide the best support we possibly can and we know that we are so privileged to be trusted by women at such a pivotal moment in life. 🥰

Back to work after an amazing break! Have to say work with a bit of jet lag was tough today so I’m grateful it’s a bank holiday weekend! Hope you have some nice plans 🤩 Did you know it’s nearly international day of the midwife? 🤰🥰.

I am currently on my honeymoon so I’ve been taking a break but couldn’t resist posting these stunning lotus flowers. Did you know the lotus symbolises fertility and rebirth? These amazing flowers emerge through the water every day in response to sunlight and so are thought to represent the powerful and beautiful transition to motherhood through birth. There’s even a birth called a ‘lotus birth’ where some people choose to keep baby attached to the placenta until it naturally detaches (around 10 day old). I couldn’t resist making it part of my logo! 🪷🪷🪷
