GCSE lessons are finished for the summer. May was a record month. I’m on holiday for a week from tomorrow so I won’t be contactable. Best of luck to those still doing exams.

Hello all! Just a heads up about a couple of little ventures I am undertaking in addition to tuition right now.

Firstly, I have set up a dog walking business so if you are aware of anyone who needs their dog walking, please send them my way. It’s £10 for half an hour and £18 per hour.

Secondly, I am also producing music tracks. I am currently unable to record live drums but other instruments are okay. It is £100 per track and I can do different styles. Please contact me through here if this is of interest!

The government: we don’t need to give teachers a pay rise because there will be high unemployment elsewhere so they won’t risk leaving. This is despite the fact that retention is terrible and has been for many years.

The contempt from the Tory party towards teachers reaches new heights. I thought it couldn’t get worse than claiming all the school were closed during Covid to hold the country to ransom when it was demonstrably not the case.

Today is International Artist Day and also Pablo Picasso's birthday.

This painting of his is known as Golden Muse. His most famous work is called Guernica which portrays the reality of the bombing of Guernica in 1937.

Work is beginning on developing worksheets that will be available through the website. As this will cover multiple year groups, this will take some time but as the old proverb goes, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Lighter Notes is currently fully booked! Even the daytime slots are gone. Some day slots may be opening up again in November but at this point I can't really take any other students on. Should any evening slots become available I shall post them here.

If you want to book a slot for June onwards, now is the time. Demand has been huge and unfortunately I cannot take on everyone as there just aren't enough hours in the day. I've been turning work away more and more regularly so if you are looking for a tutor, or know somebody who is, a slot can be reserved now with a non refundable monthly payment up front.
