It’s been so lovely watching this little one settle in so beautifully this week. Lots of exploring, playing, making friends and getting to know our little routines — she has done amazingly! 💕

“It was a difficult decision finding someone to care for my daughter, especially as my eldest was looked after by their grandparents. When I found Rie Rie, it just felt like it was meant to be. I was always against nurseries because I didn’t feel children received the same level of individual care, and choosing Rie Rie was the best decision I could have made.

Rie Rie has cared for my little one for the past two years, and she will be greatly missed. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for anyone better. From day one, she has cared for my daughter as if she were one of her own. She has given her so many wonderful experiences, taking her on exciting days out and helping her explore, learn, and have so much fun. Every day has been filled with activities, laughter, and opportunities for her to grow.

The biggest difference I’ve seen is in my daughter’s confidence and social skills. I can take my daughter to any play centre, and within minutes she’s making new friends. Seeing that confidence fills me with pride.

It’s been so reassuring knowing she’s been in such safe and caring hands while I’ve been at work. Communication has always been fantastic, and I’ve loved receiving updates and seeing all the wonderful things they’ve been doing together. It’s clear that childcare isn’t just a job for Rie Rie, it’s something she truly loves, and it shows in everything she does.

Thank you for everything you’ve done over the last two years. You’ve played such an important part in my daughter’s early years, and we’ll always be grateful for the love, care, and precious memories you’ve given her. I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better start to her childhood. I would recommend Rie Rie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, nurturing, and truly incredible childminder.”

On Thursday we said goodbye to one very special little girl as she heads off on an exciting new adventure.

It has been such a privilege to watch her grow in confidence, learn new skills and make wonderful friendships. She will be so missed here at Rie Rie’s House.

Wishing her lots of fun and happiness. I know she’s going to shine! ✨

🌸🎶 Festival fun 🎶🌸
Last week we had a festival day. The children loved singing, dancing and playing musical instruments. They had so much fun dancing to their favourite songs. There was lots of laughter and plenty of opportunities to express themselves through music.

It was so wonderful watching everyone join in and enjoy our little festival atmosphere. What a fabulous day! 🎤🎸🥁🎵

Mini sports day fun 🤩

🦋 What an amazing few weeks we’ve had learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly! 🐛

We were so lucky to have our very own caterpillars to observe as they grew, formed their chrysalises, and finally emerged as beautiful butterflies. The children watched each stage with such excitement and curiosity.
Once they were ready, we released our butterflies into the wild giving them the perfect start to their new adventure.

To celebrate everything we’d learned, we headed to the forest where the children created beautiful butterfly painting together.
It’s been a wonderful way to learn about nature, growth, patience and caring for living things. 🦋🌿

☀️ Enjoying the Sunshine Safely! 🌞

We’ve had a fantastic week making the most of the beautiful weather with lots of outdoor play, water activities, and learning through fun experiences.

As well as enjoying the sunshine, the children have been learning about the importance of keeping themselves safe in the warm weather. We’ve talked about why we wear sun cream, how it helps to protect our skin from the sun, the importance of wearing our sun hats, drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated, and finding shady spots to cool down.

Learning happens everywhere, and this week has been a great opportunity to teach the children about staying safe in the sunshine while creating happy summer memories together. 💛🌿💦

Last week we celebrated World Ocean Day with a trip to the beach. 🌊🐚

The children took along litter pickers and helped clean up the shoreline, learning about the importance of caring for our oceans/ rivers and protecting marine wildlife. I was so proud of their enthusiasm and teamwork as they helped make a positive difference to our local environment. 💙♻️
