That’s a wrap on holiday clubs for us this summer! 🎉

What a brilliant couple of days at The Grove Primary, Malvern.

⚡ Monday: We tested our speed with an exciting Micro:bit Reaction Game challenge! Our coders created their very own game controllers using cardboard, tin foil, crocodile clips and Micro:bit, before coding a fast-paced reaction game to play against their teammates. With quick reflexes, teamwork and hands-on creativity, we discovered how coding and electronics can come together to create a fun, competitive game!

🎮 Tuesday: We designed the ultimate dream gaming room in our creative Tinkercad 3D Design challenge! Our young coders used their imaginations to build amazing bedrooms and gaming setups, complete with desks, gaming PCs, consoles, LED lights, posters, gadgets and more. Using real 3D design tools, we explored digital creativity, problem-solving and design skills while bringing their perfect gaming spaces to life.

We’ve had a brilliant summer and a huge thank you to everyone who chose to join us. 💙

Now it’s time to get ready for the new term ahead! 🚀

Two more brilliant sessions at our Worcester Summer Coding Club this week! 💻☀️

We kicked things off with an exciting Parkour Challenge in Minecraft Education, where our young coders programmed characters to jump across platforms, navigate tricky obstacles and race to the finish without falling! 🧱🏃‍♂️

It was a fantastic way to develop problem-solving, coding and computational thinking skills while having fun in an interactive Minecraft world.

We then switched to MakeCode Arcade to create our very own Summer Adventure Games! 🌴🎮 From designing characters and collecting summer items to answering quiz questions, adding music and building interactive gameplay, everyone tackled a series of step-by-step coding challenges.

We also enjoyed a fantastic music session with the wonderful Severn Arts, where the children had the opportunity to explore different instruments and get creative with music. 🎶🥁🎸 What a great way to enjoy a screen break!

Another action-packed week of creativity, coding and fun! 🚀💻

🚀 More coding fun today at our Malvern and Leominster summer clubs! 💻🤖

In Malvern, we got hands-on with our robotics adventure! The children programmed robots to follow tracks and pathways using clever coding and sensors, before designing and creating their very own roads and courses on paper. 🛣️🤖

Over in Leominster, we jumped into the world of Minecraft Education and built our own thrilling parkour challenges! 🎮 We programmed our characters to jump across platforms, navigate tricky obstacles and race to the finish without falling. Along the way, everyone designed and created their own custom parkour courses.

It was a fantastic day of coding, creativity and problem-solving! 🌟

Brilliant day yesterday at Kington Primary & Grove Primary in Malvern! 🎮⛏️

At Kington Primary, we built our own game controllers using cardboard, tin foil, crocodile clips and Micro, before coding a fast-paced reaction game to play against our teammates!

Over at Grove Primary in Malvern, we got creative with Minecraft Education Pixel Art! 🎨

Using Minecraft blocks, we designed and built amazing pixel art inspired by favourite characters, mobs and items — from Steve and Creepers to zombies and more!

We also explored how coding can bring our creations to life, programming the Agent to help construct artwork automatically in the Minecraft world. 🤖

📍 We’re back in Worcester tomorrow & Thursday, and then back in Malvern next week!

Brilliant couple of days last week at our Worcester Coding Club! 👾 From Minecraft pixel art to exciting robotics adventures, we can’t wait to be back this Wednesday and Thursday! 🤖

Our first Summer Club at Kington was a great hit! 🎮

We jumped into the world of Minecraft Education, where our young coders built their very own thrilling parkour challenges! From programming their characters to jump across platforms, navigate tricky obstacles and race to the finish without falling, there was plenty of coding fun to be had.

We saw lots of fantastic creativity as the children designed their own custom parkour courses, all while developing their coding and computational thinking skills in a fun and interactive Minecraft world.

Meanwhile, in Malvern, we were in full swing using our imaginations to create our very own Stop Motion Animation films. 🎬 From script to screen, the children planned, created and filmed their own movies before enjoying an end-of-day premiere to showcase their creations to the group. We saw some brilliant and creative final pieces!

We were also lucky enough to welcome Severn Arts back for another fantastic session, this time with Kay exploring the wonderful world of pottery. 🏺

What a fantastic start to the week at our Malvern and Hereford clubs!

Both venues have been busy creating their very own exciting Summer Adventure Game using MakeCode Arcade! 🕹️

In this fun coding project, our young coders have been:
🎨 Designing their own characters
🌴 Collecting summer-themed items
❓ Answering quiz questions
🎵 Adding music and sound
💻 Building an interactive game from scratch

Along the way, they’ve been developing their programming skills through a series of fun, step-by-step challenges — all while getting creative and having lots of fun! 🚀

What a brilliant two days we've had at our Worcester Coding Club this week!

Wednesday was all about getting creative with Minecraft Education Pixel Art. Using Minecraft blocks, the children designed and built amazing pixel art creations inspired by their favourite characters. They also explored coding by programming the Agent to help construct their artwork automatically in the Minecraft world.

We also welcomed Severn Arts for another fantastic arts and crafts workshop, where everyone created beautiful origami. I'm sure you'll agree the finished creations looked amazing!

Thursday saw us programming robots to follow tracks and pathways using coding and sensors before designing and creating our own roads and courses on paper. It was a fantastic hands-on activity that encouraged the children to explore robotics, coding, and problem-solving in a fun and interactive way.

Next week we're back in Malvern, Worcester, Hereford, and Kington with another exciting programme of coding and digital activities, including Micro:bit coding, stop-motion animation, designing a Summer Adventure Game, and, of course, even more Minecraft fun!
