Congratulations to the team from Redburn ASN School, who partnered with us to enter the Pallet Garden competition at Scone Palace Garden Fair for the very first time...and came away with a fantastic Silver award.
Designed around the school's outdoor classroom spaces, the garden focused on growing your own food while creating a welcoming habitat for wildlife through companion planting. The project showcased the teamwork and enthusiasm of the students and staff involved, and we're delighted to see their hard work recognised.
Well done to everyone who contributed to this wonderful achievement
Horticulture lecturer Andrea Roach caught up with fellow lecturer Gregor at Scone Palace Garden Fair where he was demonstrating the art of mono-blocking and giving visitors a hands-on insight into the technique.

Our HND and Degree Year 2 & 3 Equine students have been out and about again last week. They had a brilliant day visiting Fentson Stud near Biggar ๐
A huge thank you to Mark and Emma-Louise Johnston for taking the time to show students around the stud, introducing them to the mares, foals and the four stallions, and sharing their own knowledge and experiences so openly.
Students also had the opportunity to watch mare scanning, giving them another fantastic hands-on insight into the breeding industry.
There's never a dull day as an SRUC Equine student!
