The sun setting on another week… and somehow the school holidays seem to be galloping by!

Why does time always feel as though it speeds up during the holidays?

Like many people, I started with great intentions of tackling the ever-growing to-do list. But I’ve also realised that rest is productive too.

So I’m aiming for a little of both. A few things ticked off, plenty of time to recharge, and making memories along the way.

I’m looking forward to some family time in Manchester, followed by a family holiday in Zante. ☀️

JEM Business Consulting Ltd is looking to recruit a Finance & HR Administrator Consultant to join our friendly and growing team.
If you're an experienced school administrator with finance and HR knowledge and you're looking for a varied role with flexibility, we'd love to hear from you.

Role Details
£16.00 per hour
16 hours per week
39 weeks per year (Term time plus INSET)
Fixed Term until 30 April 2027 (in the first instance)
Hybrid working – working from home, our main office or on-site at schools as required
Start date: As soon as possible

About the Role
Working as part of our consultant team, you'll provide finance, HR and administrative support to a range of schools across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding area. Every day is different, giving you the opportunity to work with a variety of schools while making a real difference behind the scenes.
​
This role could be perfect for someone looking to balance a rewarding professional career with other commitments while remaining part of a supportive and experienced team.
​
You'll be a great fit if you:
Have experience working within a school office, finance or HR environment
Are organised, professional and able to prioritise your workload
Work confidently both independently and as part of a team
Have excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
Understand the importance of confidentiality, safeguarding and delivering excellent customer service

An early walk along the beach with Lily this morning, on another beautiful blue-sky day.

The sun was already climbing, there was a lovely breeze, and then we were treated to the incredible Snettisham Spectacular.

Thousands of birds swirling and dancing across the sky, staying just ahead of the incoming tide. It’s difficult to capture just how mesmerising it is, but standing there watching nature at work was the perfect reminder to pause before the week gathers pace.

A lovely moment between meetings, and a wonderful way to start a Monday.
