Our aspiring legal minds enjoyed a fantastic Law Experience Day with the University of Bedfordshire this week!
Students took part in a mooting competition, a simulated court hearing where participants present legal arguments and respond to questions, just as barristers would in a real courtroom. It was an invaluable opportunity to develop advocacy, public speaking and critical thinking skills while gaining a real insight into the legal profession.
Thank you to our governor and former alumni, Usamah Himdy who was on hand to speak with our students. His story as a lecturer at the university with his own law firm is a huge source of inspiration for our sixth formers. A big thank you also to the University of Bedfordshire team for welcoming our students and providing such an engaging and inspiring experience.
Opportunities like these help bring classroom learning to life and give students a taste of what studying and working in law can involve.

Time to introduce another amazing alumni: Patrick White.
He has gone from studying English lang & lit, drama & theatre studies, and creative writing alongside business at LSFC to becoming a Director at Beechwood Studios! ✨
Patrick White (2015–2017) has built an impressive career leading premium brand environments and experiential projects within major UK airports, working with global brands across fragrance, fashion, beauty, and more.
Now an Operations, Programme and Project Director he is a full member of the Association for Project Management, Patrick’s journey is a brilliant example of how creativity, communication and business skills can come together to shape an exciting career path.
Reflecting on his time at LSFC, Patrick shared how subjects like Drama helped build confidence and teamwork, while English and Creative Writing strengthened the communication skills he uses every day in business leadership and project management.
“LSFC helped me understand the importance of asking questions, staying open to learning, and building confidence in my own abilities”.
We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Patrick and all he has achieved since graduating from LSFC.
