What a day. 🤍

Yesterday I had the pleasure of capturing Betty & Alex’s wedding at one of the stunning Ramside Hall Treehouses. It was my first time shooting there, and it's safe to say I’m already a fan!

Betty looked incredible in her fitted fishtail dress, which suited her perfectly. And every single detail had been thought through - from their gorgeous sage green and gold colour palette to the personalised bar mat, coasters and wedding vow booklets. So many little details that made the whole day feel so completely them.

The weather was lovely too - beautiful sunshine, although possibly a little too much wind! 😂 Cue me, Betty & Alex being blown around in a golf buggy and out on the course trying to get some portraits - we had SO much fun!

I’m sharing a little mix of couple portraits and some of those gorgeous details from their day.

When the groom’s dad gives you a glowing review… AND buys you a pint to go with it! 🍻😂

Andy was absolutely lovely to me throughout Josh & Sophie’s wedding day, so hearing him say such lovely things about me - and then seeing the written review afterwards - honestly means so much. 🤍

I love a genuine review, but when it comes from someone who was actually there, saw how I worked and noticed all the little things that go into making the day run smoothly… that hits differently.

Yesterday at the Spanish City Elite Wedding Fair was such a lovely (and a very busy) one! 🤍

A huge ** thank you ** to everyone who came to see me. I chatted to so many lovely couples, all with completely different wedding plans, ideas and stories. I loved hearing all about them!

And it wasn't just wedding chat… there were little ones to meet, photos of doggos to share (of course!), plenty of general chit-chat and, of course, lots of laughs. It's those personable conversations that make these fayres so enjoyable!

What an absolutely class day. 🤍

Anna & Ian’s wedding at Northside Farm on Thursday was SO much fun, from start to finish.

There was Prosecco-popping, zipline-zooming 😂, everyone-sprinting-for-the-shot and plenty of general wedding-day messing about, capturing the fun, in-between moments that made the whole day feel so them!

And then came the pyro. The shot no one expected…

We lined everyone up for a group photo, and BOOM - shots of bold, colourful smoke billowing out behind the guests. The reaction was brilliant, and it looked insane! 🔥

Mr & Mrs Musgrave at Slaley Hall Hotel 🤍

Friday threw a bit of everything at us - verrrrry windy, intermittent showers and a completely overcast sky!

But none of that stopped us from getting outside for some beautiful portraits of these two.

Lou & Ross were just so natural together. No awkward posing, no overthinking it - just the two of them being themselves. You can see exactly how much love they have for each other through the lens. 🤍

Slaley Hall was the perfect setting for these two, and they both looked incredible.

✨ NEW BUSINESS CARD FLEX ✨

Okay, I may have a slight obsession with forest green & gold...

Currently:
My nails are green.
My hoodie is green.
My rings are gold.
My phone case is… you guessed it - Green & Gold! ✨

So obviously my new business cards had to follow suit.

They feel very in tune with my vibe - simple, classy, a little bit fancy, but still relaxed. Basically, exactly what I want MP Wedding Photography to feel like.

Still not over these two. 🤍

An early morning ceremony at The Story Durham, glorious sunshine and the absolute privilege of not only photographing Lucy & Edan’s intimate wedding, but being asked to be a witness too. I won’t lie, I was honoured and slightly nervous! 😂

The brief for the photos? Old money. So naturally, I took that and made it very much my own. ✨

I’ve been wanting to experiment more with the blur look, and this day felt like the perfect opportunity. The movement, softness and intimacy worked so beautifully with Lucy & Edan’s style - and I’m honestly a little obsessed with how some of these turned out.

And then there was Lucy. She looked INCREDIBLE. 🤍

Edan had travelled all the way over from America, and after the ceremony we jumped in the car and headed into Durham - stopping at Wharton Park for portraits with the Cathedral and historic city backdrop, before wandering through the train station and into the city centre for a few final shots.

One of my favourite parts of the day? Watching them call their families afterwards for the post-wedding debrief. 🥹🤍 Just the two of them, newly married, chatting away and soaking it all in.

What a stunning, intimate, completely gorgeous day.

✨ GILLIAN & IAN ✨

What an incredible Sunday celebrating Mr & Mrs Devlin at the beautiful Derwent Manor Boutique Hotel. The atmosphere was absolutely electric from start to finish, and one thing is for certain - the Irish definitely know how to party! 🥂

The ongoing Fireball joke from the hen party lived on, with the bridal party enjoying a shot (or two!) before the ceremony. Then, during the group photos, I couldn’t resist asking everyone to shout “FIREBALL!" which naturally turned into guests breaking into Pitbull’s Fireball (daaa da da da da da) and a spontaneous sing-along! 😂 It had everyone laughing and perfectly summed up the energy of the day.

Add in some glorious sunshine and some of the best craic with an incredible bunch of guests, and it made for one unforgettable celebration.

Huge congratulations, Mr & Mrs Devlin 🤍
