Brass Blast at Brunstane Primary!
As part of our series of 10 short films celebrating a decade of Brass Blast, we're heading to Brunstane Primary School in East Edinburgh - where it all begins.
Every week, we run beginner trumpet and trombone classes for young people who are picking up an instrument for the very first time. No audition, no prior experience needed.
We believe every child has musical potential and creativity to offer, and Brass Blast is built around that.

As part of our series of 10 short films celebrating a decade of Brass Blast, we are introducing the brilliant music tutors who make it all happen. Our unique approach to instrumental teaching and collective music making is all about trust, curiosity and FUN.
Brass Blast works entirely by ear, developing excellent aural learning skills in our players and a sense of ownership over the music making. Hear from our tutors about their teaching practice and what makes this way of learning so exciting for young musicians.
