Mae gennym rywbeth arbennig iawn i’w ddathlu... mae Eleni yn 50 oed!

Drwy gydol 2026-27, rydyn ni’n dathlu pum degawd o ddawns gymunedol yng Ngogledd-ddwyrain Cymru - ac, yn bwysicaf oll, y miloedd o bobl sydd wedi bod yn rhan o’r stori honno.

Ers 50 mlynedd, mae dawns wedi creu cyfleoedd i symud, cysylltu, creu, perfformio a pherthyn. Nawr mae’n amser dathlu ble rydyn ni wedi bod, ble rydyn ni heddiw a ble rydyn ni’n mynd nesaf.

Bydd noson arbennig Eleni 50 yn dod â chenedlaethau o’n cymuned ynghyd drwy ddawns, ffilm, perfformiadau, atgofion a straeon.

Gyda llai na chwe mis i fynd, byddwn yn rhannu llawer mwy dros y misoedd nesaf.

Am y tro, cadwch y dyddiad - a helpwch ni i ledaenu’r gair.

We have something very special to celebrate... Eleni is 50!

Across 2026-27, we're celebrating five decades of community dance in North East Wales - and, most importantly, the thousands of people who have been part of that story.

For 50 years, dance has created opportunities to move, connect, create, perform and belong. Now it's time to celebrate where we've been, where we are today and where we're going next.

A special Eleni 50 evening will bring generations of our community together through dance, film, performance, memories and stories.

With less than six months to go, we'll be sharing much more over the coming months.

💜 Dathlu Symud er Lles 💜

Mae ein prosiect Symud er Lles, a ariannwyd gan y Loteri Genedlaethol, bellach wedi dod i ben, ar ôl mynd â gweithgareddau dawns, symud a lles hygyrch i gymunedau ledled Sir Ddinbych, Sir y Fflint a Wrecsam.

Gyda’n gilydd, fe wnaethom gyflwyno:

✨ 242 o sesiynau dawns, symud a lles
✨ 2,147 o ryngweithiadau cyfranogwyr wedi’u cofnodi
✨ 10 o wahanol raglenni a lleoliadau

Gan weithio ochr yn ochr â KIM Inspire a WISP, a thrwy ein dosbarthiadau cymunedol, sesiynau Reach and Reset a Dawns i Bobl â Parkinson’s, fe wnaethom greu cyfleoedd croesawgar i bobl hŷn, pobl sy’n byw gyda Parkinson’s, oedolion sy’n wynebu heriau iechyd meddwl a phobl ifanc ag anghenion dysgu ychwanegol.

Roedd Symud er Lles yn ymwneud â llawer mwy na gweithgarwch corfforol. Rhoddodd fannau rheolaidd a chefnogol i bobl symud ar eu cyflymder eu hunain, mynegi eu hunain yn greadigol, magu hyder a chysylltu ag eraill.

Diolch o galon i’n cyfranogwyr, ymarferwyr, partneriaid a lleoliadau cymunedol gwych. Eich cynhesrwydd, eich creadigrwydd a’ch ymrwymiad chi a wnaeth y prosiect mor arbennig.

Rydym hefyd yn hynod ddiolchgar i chwaraewyr y Loteri Genedlaethol ac i Gronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol am wneud y gwaith hwn yn bosibl. Er bod y cyllid wedi dod i ben, bydd y perthnasoedd, y dysgu a’r eiliadau o gysylltiad a grëwyd drwy Symud er Lles yn parhau i lunio ein gwaith. 💜

💜 Celebrating Movement for Mind 💜

Our National Lottery-funded Movement for Mind project has now come to an end, after bringing accessible dance, movement and wellbeing activities to communities across Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham.

Together, we delivered:

✨ 242 dance, movement and wellbeing sessions
✨ 2,147 recorded participant interactions
✨ 10 different programme and location strands

Working alongside KIM Inspire and WISP Dance Club, and through our community classes, Reach and Reset sessions and Dance for Parkinson’s, we created welcoming opportunities for older adults, people living with Parkinson’s, adults experiencing mental health challenges and young people with additional learning needs.

Movement for Mind was about so much more than physical activity. It gave people regular, supportive spaces in which to move at their own pace, express themselves creatively, build confidence and connect with others.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful participants, practitioners, partners and community venues. Your warmth, creativity and commitment made this project what it was.

We are also deeply grateful to National Lottery players and The National Lottery Community Fund for making this work possible. The funding may have ended, but the relationships, learning, and moments of connection created through Movement for Mind will continue to shape our work. 💜

✨ We're delighted to announce that Rachel Gittins has been appointed Producer and Lowri Page has been appointed Digital Storyteller & Film Associate for Eleni 50.

As we begin our year-long celebration of 50 years of Eleni Cymru, we're thrilled to welcome Rachel back to the team and Lowri to Eleni for the very first time.

Rachel's journey with Eleni began as a member of our Flintshire and Wrexham Youth Dance Companies, and we're delighted that she's returning to help shape this landmark project. Lowri will bring her creative eye and storytelling skills to document the people, moments and memories that make Eleni 50 so special.

"It is a huge honour to be producing the Eleni 50 celebration. My connection with Eleni Cymru began as a member of its Flintshire and Wrexham Youth Dance Companies. Since then, I have continued to work with Eleni Cymru throughout my professional career on a wide range of amazing projects.

To now have the opportunity to help celebrate 50 years of its work feels incredibly special and exciting. Eleni Cymru has made a meaningful difference to so many people's lives through inclusive dance, creativity and community, and the importance and impact of this work make the role deeply rewarding."
