Our unit of the month for January is Diabetes.

With Diabetes being Constantia Care Training’s chosen unit to focus on for the month of January, here is the basics you need to know when it comes to Diabetes. Visit diabetes.org.uk for more information.

Diabetes is a serious condition where your blood glucose level is too high. It can happen when your body doesn’t produce enough insulin or the insulin it produces isn’t effective. Or, when your body can’t produce any insulin at all.

Our unit of the month for December is Food Hygiene.

At this time of year, many of us find ourselves in the kitchen more than usual, handling food and managing cooking timings to make sure important dinners go to plan.

It is very easy to quickly rinse your hands after handling raw meat, but a quick rinse doesn’t wash off the harmful bacteria, and could result in contamination of other food during the preparation.

It is important that you still stick to the standard hand washing process, even when you are busy preparing multiple different food items.

Our unit of the month for December is Food Hygiene.

As we draw closer to Christmas Day, when food preparation will be in full swing, we thought it would be a good idea to remind you of what to do when preparing food.

Cross-contamination of food is something that can happen very easily during food preparation. If you follow the steps set out for you in this post, it will limit the risk of this happening.

Save the Children -
Christmas Jumper Day 2024

Each year, Constantia Care Training takes part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day to help raise money for their charity.

Christmas Jumper Day is Save the Children’s annual event which raises money for the children who need it most.

Every December, millions of people across the UK (and beyond!) put on a festive knit at their workplace, school or with friends and make a donation to help give children the magical future they deserve.
By dressing up and being silly we help kids facing serious issues like war, hunger and poverty.

This year, all of our office staff got together and wore our best Christmas jumpers to the office!

We raised £50.00 in total for the cause.
