A Level Maths Tutor

Now taking bookings for Y12 and Y13 A Level Maths Groups. Small groups, no more than 10 and usually smaller - this is a class not a webinar! All lessons recorded with notes and homework provided.

I shall be running group lessons for A Level Maths from September to July. The lessons will be Saturday morning at 9.30 - 10.30 am  I will tailor lessons to the group and each will have notes and homework provided.  Lessons would be £30 an hour with groups of 8 lessons payable in advance.

TMUA is now becoming a widely used test with Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Warwick, LSE, UCA and Durham just some of the universities that are using it.
TMUA uses just A Level maths, but requires a very different approach. The timing is much more difficult, there are no calculators allowed and the questions are much more concept based rather than process driven.

Lessons available from the end of June onwards, after you have finished your Y12 End of Year exams. These can continue over the summer break and can fit around other commitments. How many are needed will vary by the individual and can include support for A Level Maths and F Maths. £80 an hour

𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙜𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙨?

Not only will you need to take TMUA in October, but you will also be required to take STEP alongside your A Levels.
STEP papers are usually part of any offer for a maths degree from Cambridge and can be part of an offer from others such as Warwick, Durham etc.

What you might not know is that around 60% of those that receive an offer for maths from Cambridge, will fail to meet the STEP requirements. It is a very tough test!

This class is designed to give those considering applying to Cambridge for a maths degree a taster of what STEP is like, so they can decide if they think that it is something they can achieve.

Group Lessons: 6 weeks course - 6 lessons:

11.10-12.10am 27th July to 12th August

Have you an offer for maths from Cambridge? Congratulations!!!

This is an excellent achievement. But now you need to make sure that you get the grades, including STEP. Around 60% of those with offers will NOT get the grades in STEP so won't get in. They over offer (around 560 offers for 250 places) then set the grade boundaries of STEP so that just the top 250 "pass".
I am running some STEP Group Classes 10.45 am every Sunday mornings until the exams.
STEP II and III covered, as required by the group.
