Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 9 th September at 2 pm.

Our demonstrator will be the fabulous David Ryland . David is a well known Flower Arranger who has visited our club many times. We always have a great afternoon watching him create fabulous arrangements for us while he entertains us with his stories.

This photograph is of David beside his pedestal arrangement in Westminster Abbey which was created for the Duke of Edinburghs memorial service.

Using autumnal elements including conkers, wheat and pumpkins, the design demonstrates how careful placement of plant material can create rhythm and repetition, perfect for an autumn table.

💡 Floral tip: Wet sand is an inexpensive, reusable and sustainable alternative to floral foam. Lightly moistened fine silica or play sand can be heaped to securely anchor stems while providing moisture. In clear containers, coloured decorative sand can even become part of the design!
