After a really tough 18 months plus the start of the new Academic Year is finally upon us.
It has been very tough and we have been unable to meet as a Group with our fundraising ideas which has been really sad to not be able to do anything as the children love getting involved with events like bag-packing. Then there are Halloween and Christmas parties, not foretting our wonderful Christmas and other Fairs throughout the year and shows that we have all missed during this time due to Covid.
We are hopefully at long last able to see the school carry out a full year without any issues with the virus going forward.
For the new parents I can assure you that throughout the pandemic the staff have been 1000% on top of the testing, keeping the children in the correct bubbles and keeping them safe and happy ensuring that the school continues as normal as it can be, whilst keeping themselves safe.
I cannot believe where the last 6 weeks have gone it has gone so quickly. As I am typing this I have 2 excited children that I am trying to settle for school tomorrow. My son Jack cannot wait to be back at Sandside tomorrow to see all his friends again and I hope all the children are excited to be going back. I hope they all sleep well tonight!
For those children and their parents who are new to the School, I can assure you they will have the best first day ever tomorrow.
For any parents of the new or current children who would like to join this page or if anyone knows of new parents of the children starting Sandside tomorrow, please share this page with them and invite them to join us..... oh and not forgetting the Sandside School Page too.
The Friends of Sandside Group will be commencing again soon and once I have had a meeting with our Head, Donna Stretton, and have spoken to the present Friends of Sandside members about recommencing the meetings I will then be able to update you all.
For any new parents who maybe interested in joining us we are always looking for parents to get involved as we meet, share ideas and fundraise and to give the children and the school the best we can give them and to ensure they have lots and lots of fun and many happy times together.
For the parents of the new children I can assure you the staff are absolutely awesome and they work extremely hard to keep all the children safe but happy too. They are an amazing team of men and women and can guarantee your child will want to go back on Friday.
I hope all the children enjoy their first day at Sandside tomorrow and hope to see everyone and meet new parents very soon.
As always stay safe
Best wishes
Dawn Glasgow
