The Chair of Committee and Manager at Church Walk Pre-school Nursery are seeking to appoint two Level 3 practitioners for our charity run pre-school.
The Level 3 qualification must be a 'full and relevant' Early Years qualification, if you are unsure, please check on the government Early Years qualification checker.
There are two posts available, one permanent and one temporary to cover maternity leave. Both posts are during our wraparound club hours where children from our nursery and the nearby primary school attend between the hours of 8am-9am, then 3pm-5pm.
The permanent role would be 16.25 hours a week, working from 2pm-5.15pm Monday to Friday.
The temporary role would be 14.25 hours a week, working from 3pm -5.15pm Monday to Friday and 7.45am-9.15am Thursday and Friday.
Both roles would have the opportunity to cover staff illness as needed to increase hours.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, bring fun to their role, be hard-working and able to think on their feet and have a child-led approach to learning through play. They must have high expectations of themselves and the children in their care and have an understanding of additional needs and how young children learn.
The successful candidate must be well organised and have previous experience of working in an Early Years setting. We would also highly value a candidate with paediatric first aid qualifications and safeguarding training, however, this can be sourced if needed.
