Update on what's going on at Furness Education Co. and the change from Furness Outdoor Learning.
Furness Education Co. now offers three branches of services:
Furness Nature: Forest School and nature-based learning and therapeutic interventions.
Furness Nurture: Teen Mentoring for SEMH and EBSA, and parent support.
Furness Learning: coming soon a Democratic and Self-directed Learning Community for 11-17year olds.

Not every young person thrives in the same way, and that’s okay.

Our Teen Mentoring offers 1:1 support shaped around the young person, their interests, pace and voice. Grounded in Self-Determination Theory, it builds confidence, motivation and direction through real connection and meaningful experiences.

An ideal intervention for young people experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance and other Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, particularly where school attendance is a struggle and engagement needs rebuilding.

Forest School Assistant Required – Starting 5th June, at our site near Ulverston, Cumbria.
We’re looking for a Forest School Assistant to support the delivery of our regular nursery sessions across five consecutive Thursdays:
5th June, 12th June, 19th June, 26th June, 2rd July
This is a great opportunity to work within an authentic Forest School setting, supporting young children in a nurturing, nature-based environment.
8:30am - 3:30pm
Fully qualified £150
In training £120
You’ll need to:
• Be a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader, or have completed your first practical week of Level 3 training
• Have experience working with young children
• Hold a DBS on the Update Service
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Provide references
• Be available for all five dates
