PGA Professional TPI does not believe in one way to swing a club, rather in an infinite number of swing styles.

My name is Craig Dickie and I am a Year 3 PGA Trainee Professional at Fairways Golf studios and Sandyhills Golf Club. I am available for coaching, working on all areas of your game using top-of-the-range Trackman technology to assist and help my clients to gain knowledge of their golf swing. If you are looking for a coach who has patience and going to encourage and motivate you, then you have come

to the right place. As a TPI qualified instructor, I will also look at how your body moves and how this is affecting the way that you swing the golf club. But, we do believe there is one efficient way for every player to swing and it is based on what the player can physically do.

If your lead elbow is flying away from your body through impact, try this 👇

🟡 Towel under the lead tricep

Make slow swings and keep the towel connected.

It’s a simple way to feel better connection + rotation without forcing your arms to do all the work.

Try 10 swings before your next round
and feel what “connected” actually feels like. ⛳️

Day 1 scorecard… I thought this was bad! 🙈
The double on 13 was a poor tee shot followed by a shank, then a pull out the thick rough , up green side but behind a rain shelter and had to flop over that and didn’t sink the putt 👌🏼

After a steady and positive start with a few missed chances and a good up and down, 6 was a 3 putt after hitting the birdie putt 3 feet past (finally)!
7- well… no idea why I pulled driver here but pushed it into the bush, drop out then green side in 3 but short sided pitched into the bunker being too cute, then another 3 putt 😬
Steadied the ship until a lovely heel struck driver covered over 2 holes and ended up OOB and by that point I knew it was done
Drop shop on 17 out the gorse again and another failed up and down attempt at 18 after hitting Pw from 150 through the back 😢😂

But… this is what matters:)
Ice cream and milkshakes with my G ❤️

Golf for me, as much is it is my career… the coaching side is, playing js a bonus:)
Do I enjoy playing badly? Of course not
Can I play better? 100%

But incredibly that’s the season finished and it’s time to work over the winter and get ready for 2027! ⛳️

Back to PGAScotland action today at the Easter Moffat Golf Club pro am ⛳️

Still battling the driver, but one more event before the Scottish PGA championships next week at The West Kilbride Golf Club 👀

Today, as much as it’s a competitive round gives me one more chance to figure out next weeks off the tee strategy so hope it works well. There were some good signs yesterday at Mearns Castle Golf Acadmey event, but unfortunately still leaked 2 balls right with 1 going OOB and one, which I thought was on a great line, was just too tight to the thick rough 🙈

Love scoring available via my story ✅

Thanks again to Keysigns Sunny Daze Blinds for the support this season 🤗

One thing all great chippers do… 👀

They DON’T try to lift the ball into the air.

Sounds crazy, right? 😂

Great chippers control the low point, strike the ball first and let the loft on the clubface do the work.

❌ Scooping = inconsistent contact
✅ Strike first + loft = predictable chips

Stop trying to help the ball up… let the club do it for you. ⛳️

Using chat gpt or any other ai chat bot thing and use the following prompt… what would Rory mcilroy shoot round ”enter home course”

Oh, this is a fun one 😂

Sandyhills Golf Club is 6,189 yards, par 70 from the whites, with a course rating around 71 and a slope of 128.

🏌️ What would Rory shoot?

If Rory McIlroy turned up in tournament mode, I’d estimate:

🔥 Rory: 57–61

My money would be on 59 (-11).

Why? The biggest difference wouldn’t just be his ball striking — it would be:

* 🚀 300+ yard drives leaving ridiculously short approaches
* 🎯 Wedges from positions most club golfers simply can’t reach
* 🏹 Par 5s potentially becoming driver + short iron/wedge
* 🧠 Elite course management
* 🟢 World-class putting and scrambling
* And he’d be playing a course that’s only 6,189 yards.

For example, the 496-yard 16th par 5 could realistically be driver followed by something like a wedge. The 460-yard 14th, a par 4, could potentially leave him a mid/short iron after a huge drive.
