Another great Summer cooking workshop to look back on!

This time it was older children. I can never make my mind up which age group I enjoy cooking with the most, but seeing these teens all get on so well, chat, enjoy good music, realise what they have in common, have a laugh and want to come back at the end of the session, is truly rewarding.

Cooking classes🧑‍🍳 Girls ❤️ 12+ age

Would your daughter like to learn to cook with me?
Do you know a family that might be interested?

I run cooking classes in my home kitchen in Blackboys village. Each week we make a savoury main and a sweet treat around my family table.

On this occasion I am particularly looking for Home Educated girls aged 12+ to join us in a newly forming cooking class on Monday afternoons. The class will be 12.50-14.50 and is currently made of 12-14 year olds. I currently have 3 boys and 1 girl (who would naturally like some female company).

If you think your daughter might be interested please get in touch. Spaces very limited. 6 max to a class to allow for friendships to develop, questions to be asked and a lovely environment for us all.
£29.50 a session, £147.50 for the 5 week block.

You just cannot beat a British classic like victoria sponge cake! And just look at these super girls having a blast making theirs! Together they practised team work, comprehension, listening skills, maths when weighing ingredients, English, art, sharing and taking turns and most importantly, they had great fun in the process and now know how to make this cake again!

Molly said it was the bestest thing she’s ever done! … and I can’t ask for better praise than that! Thankyou Molly ❤️ Thankyou everyone that came ❤️ A super class!

Well golly gosh Summer has flown by and it feels an absolute age since this class, but over the next few days I will be posting pics of all my Summer workshops! Each one equally special, these gorgeous girls were so proud of their delicious cakes, and wonderful tear and share pizza pin wheels at hometime! Well done girls!

Over the Summer I have had great fun hosting some fabulous Birthday parties at Amy’s Cookery School!

These wonderful girls thoroughly enjoyed celebrating together.

The birthday girls mummy said “My daughter had the best time celebrating her birthday at Amy’s Cookery School. The girls got to make a variety of yummy dishes and play in between making them. All of this in Amy’s gorgeous garden. It was perfect.”

If you would like to book a birthday party please do get in touch. It gives me so much joy prepping, having the children flood in, have so much fun and leave with so much pride in what they have made.

I don’t normally share pictures of family or holidays, but when I was looking through photos of our adventures this Summer, it struck me that sharing good food and drink with family and friends is so integral to the special times together and the core memories we make.

Learning to cook, having confidence in the kitchen and enjoying food are essential life skills.

I am delighted that so many of the children that cook with me are learning recipes that they can share with family or friends and will shape their own special memories together.

Thoroughly looking forward to being back in the kitchen next week, hopefully in slightly cooler conditions!
So grateful for all the enquiries. All workshops are fully booked again, with a waitlist. I appreciate everybody’s help supporting me with those last minute cancellations which are inevitable in the holidays.

The Home Ed and September timetable is being finalised and will be with you very soon! It’s great to be back.

Oh my goodness I’m so unbelievably grateful for all these wonderful end of term gifts. Totally unnecessary but thoroughly appreciated. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful families cook with me. I love every class and I am so thankful families support me to continue to do something I love. The fact that so many have put pen to paper to say how valuable and enjoyable the classes are and how much their children have grown in confidence, is the absolute icing on the cake. 🍒 🧁
