We’re excited to be working behind the scenes on The Ignition Sessions in collaboration with Future Sounds - a live concert at Lewes Con Club showcasing young bands in a professional venue environment.

This event is all about creating meaningful opportunities for young musicians - not just lessons, but real experiences that build confidence, ambition and connection through live performance.

It is very much a concert for students, by students, and a great chance for younger musicians and families to come along, be inspired, and see where music can lead.

🎶 Private Music Lessons with Jon Cooper – Evenings at Uckfield College!

For the first time, Red Butler Music School is opening up private after-school lessons with our brilliant tutor Jon Cooper — Wednesdays & Thursdays, 5.45 – 7.45pm at Uckfield College.

Jon has been teaching guitar, bass, drums and ukulele since 2005 and has helped students aged 7 to 77 discover their confidence and creativity. With over 1,000 live performances behind him, Jon brings real-world experience and a relaxed, encouraging teaching style that helps every student find their groove.

Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or returning after years away, these evening lessons are perfect for older students or adults looking for something inspiring after work or school.

Whether you’re a young beginner, a teen enthusiast, or an adult returning to music, our lessons are open to all ages and stages.

We offer flexible lesson times—choose from 25-minute sessions at £16.66 or 50-minute sessions at £31.30. Plus, we run weekly band workshops for those eager to play and perform in a group setting.

All lessons are taught by experienced tutors who are not only professional musicians but passionate educators. RBMS are looking for a passionate and inspiring Singing Tutor to join our growing team!

We have been expanding the musical community within schools and local areas for over 10 years, providing high-quality tuition with exceptional outcomes.

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated singing tutor to deliver engaging and dynamic lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
Lessons take place in schools and our dedicated studio.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic musician who is eager to inspire and develop students in their vocal abilities. The role is a self-employed position.

Key Responsibilities
* Teach one-to-one and small group singing lessons in schools and our studio
* Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and skill levels
* Inspire students and help them build confidence in their vocal abilities
* Prepare students for performances, exams, and personal musical goals
* Maintain a positive and professional relationship with students, parents, and schools

What We’re Looking For
* Strong vocal ability with experience in teaching singing (all styles welcome)
* A passion for music education and nurturing student talent
* Ability to engage and motivate students of all ages
* Reliable, professional, and well-organised
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Driving license and own transport desirable (but not essential)

Absolutely loving these presentation assemblies!

We've been visiting schools across the South East, playing tunes, showcasing instruments and 'hopefully' inspiring children to pick up an instrument 😎

This photo was taken at Harlands Community Primary School last Friday - the students there were certainly up for a sing along first thing in the morning! 🎸🥁🎹🎤
