Last week, I found out that I achieved a Gold Award in the UK Mathematics Trust Senior Maths Challenge! This places me in the top 11% of students in the UK and means that I qualify for the follow-on round, the Andrew Jobbings Senior Kangaroo, which I will complete next month.

Hello! My name is Phoenix and I tutor maths GCSE - arguably one of the most important subjects on offer at this level. A good grade in maths GCSE will take you a long way as most, if not all, colleges and universities require at least a grade 4 in maths GCSE.

In my GCSEs, I achieved all grade 9s and 8s, including 9s in maths and further maths. Currently, I am in year 12 (lower sixth) studying maths, further maths and history alongside an EPQ with a view of applying to study maths at Oxbridge or a Russell Group university. I have also taken part in a number of maths challenges including UKMT’s junior, intermediate and senior maths challenges, UKMT’s Girls Mathematical Olympiad, and Siam’s M3 Mathematical Modelling Challenge.

I tutor for any exam board at foundation or higher level GCSE for £15 per hour. I am available most weekday evenings and some weekends. Sessions will take place online via Google Meet - in person can be discussed.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you or your child achieve the best grade possible in maths GCSE!
