Trevor Barton MBE, a pillar of the Tyldesley community, will be deeply missed. A former Chief Superintendent with Greater Manchester Police, Trevor dedicated himself to public service and the betterment of others.
As a founding member of the Pelican Centre charity, he played a crucial role in saving Tyldesley Pool for future generations. His leadership and generosity extended through numerous community initiatives, including the Atherton and Tyldesley Sports Association and the Astley Green Colliery Remembrance Project.
Trevor leaves behind his two children, Sarah and Stuart, his partner Eileen, and a wide circle of friends and family who will remember him with admiration and gratitude.
His legacy of service, compassion, and community spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
