THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS, POOLSIDE SHOWERS AND A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS!

Thunderstorm warnings
The long awaited rain has brought the recent hot spell to an end. (We had to dig way back to find some rainy photos of the pool!)
With the rain comes with the inevitable risk of thunderstorms and there are several weather warnings in place over the next few days.
There is a risk of disruption to the swimming sessions.
Please be aware that you may be asked to leave the pool and surrounding areas immediately in the event that thunder is heard and lightning is sighted so please follow the instructions given by our poolside supervisors. If a session is completely cancelled in the interests of safety, we will endeavour to post here. Thank you.
Showers
You may also be aware that our showers are currently out of order. They are unfortunately unlikely to be back in use before the bank holiday weekend. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Pool close date and thank you to our volunteers!
The pool closes for the season on Saturday 12th September. The summer has been a long hot one! Although it's been an amazing season, it's also been a challenge to manage the number of visitors and to keep everyone safe. None of our supervisors, helpers or committee are paid for the hours they devote to the pool. Often they are sacrificing time they could be spending with their own families in order to keep the pool a safe and happy environment for all of our members.
Without them, the pool simply wouldn't be here! Please remember to give a great big 'Thank You' to our volunteers next time you visit the pool!
We hope you enjoy the final few weeks at the pool and thank you for supporting us.
