MFL GCSE Speaking exams are a week & a bit away!

Step 1: Don't panic! - Don’t fixate on the things you can't control.

Step 2: Don't overthink things! -
We don't know what the exam questions will be, it’s the first year of the new specification and all students and teachers are in the same boat! - Go back to Step 1

Step 3: Don't give up! - Learning a language is lifelong skill - everyday we learn a new word, a new verb, a new saying is another thing in our toolbox of life to be able to communicate. - Go back to Step 1

Step 4: Keep calm and carry on revising your way, little but often taking time to eat, rest your brain and sleep. You might not learn or revise in the same way that your parents/carers and teachers did but they will support you provided that you also put in the effort.

Mocks - the reality is they are just that - mocks - a chance to practise - a way to know how the real exams work - a rough guide to how you might do.
However, remember that they are not about what you already know - you will have used what that to answer the mock questions now! The point of November/December mocks is to find out what you don’t know or can’t quite understand or what you just can’t remember … yet!
Once you get the results, ask your teachers what to focus on, what things you could improve upon and what would make learning the things you find most difficult easier.
Then don’t panic but plan, after all there is still time to the real ones and revising little but often is how to get your working memory in shape for what you haven’t mastered yet! 📖🙇‍♂️👍

Some revision is better than none at all.
Worried you don’t know enough?
Mocks are to find out what you still need to know so you can fill the gaps for the real GCSEs, so you don’t and won’t know nor remember it all … yet!
