According to studies 15-16% of first babies arrive late.

Reflux seems to be something every other baby suffers with currently.
I'm intrigued by this.
I've just read this article, which could perhaps explain the reason why it is much more prevalent now.

" For adults, lying on their stomach can help decrease acid reflux. However, doctors don't recommend this as a sleeping position for infants, because it's linked with sudden infant death syndrome"

Although sleeping on their tummies isn't recommended now, they could still spend a lot of time, when they're awake, on their bellies.
It may prevent the need for medical intervention, which would benefit both the new baby & the parents.

Did you know about the 2 hour rule??

It's said that 58% of new parents, are unaware of this information.

New babies shouldn't be in a car seat, anymore than 2 hours over a 24 hour period

"Car seats are designed to keep babies safe while travelling, not as a place to sleep.

Worryingly, it has been found that some babies were spending hour after hour in car seats, ie during the journey, transferring the car seat in a travel system pram, and once home allowing the baby to continue sleeping in the car seat rather than waking the baby up and placing in them in a cot or crib".
