Yesterday was World Dyslexia Day so the Dyslexia Champions decided the winners of their poster competition.

They were inundated with entries from P5-7 and found it very hard to choose just one winning poster from each class. The winners got to choose a 3D printed prize kindly made by 2 of our talented P7s.

Miss Newbould has displayed the winners outside the ASL room and other posters inside the ASL room. There were so many that there will be a few displays including one dedicated to Tom Holland who was by far the most popular dyslexic celeb! 🕷️🕸️

P6B were very excited to take part in the ‘Get Doodling with Liz Pichon’ Tom Gates Launch Party. They listened to part of the new book being read and took part in a fun quiz. The class then enjoyed drawing along with Liz Pichon as she showed them how to draw Tom Gates. ✏️📚

We would like to say a great big thank you to everyone who used their blue Tesco tokens to support us at Turriff Nursery.

Last week we were presented with our cheque for £1500 which will be used to purchase outdoor clothing and resources to keep us cozy and dry all year round.

Today in the Dyslexia Den we celebrated Dyslexia Awareness Week Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Dyslexia Champions handed out blue ribbons to raise awareness and lollipops as a wee treat 🍭.

We also watched a short animated film about dyslexia while designing our own puzzle piece for our display to celebrate our school’s dyslexic community. We have blank ones spare to add more as more pupils are indentified 🧩
