βπ³ Sometimes, a change of scenery is all it takes.
Our Year 5 pupils took their mathematics lesson outdoors, enjoying the fresh air as they worked through their textbook exercises. A calm outdoor setting provided the perfect environment for focused learning, thoughtful problem-solving, and the development of confidence with new mathematical concepts.
Learning can happen anywhere, and opportunities like this help keep lessons engaging while maintaining high academic expectations.

At our school, swimming forms part of the curriculum from Reception through to Year 6, ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to develop this essential life skill as part of the school day.
Through regular lessons, children build water confidence and refine their technique. Whether they are taking their first strokes or progressing towards more advanced skills, every child is encouraged to achieve their personal best.
It's just one of the many ways we provide a broad, balanced education that equips children with the confidence and skills to flourish in school and beyond.

π¨π¦ Our Year 4 took their sketchbooks outdoors to observe and draw birds in their natural environment.
Combining first-hand observation with carefully selected reference images, the children explored shape, texture and proportion while developing their drawing skills. Working outside encouraged them to slow down, notice the finer details of the natural world, and find inspiration in the wildlife around them.
A wonderful example of how creativity flourishes when learning extends beyond the classroom. πΏ

How do you paint a masterpiece without using your hands? π¨ Our Pre-Reception class studied the incredible work of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists. To truly understand their talent, our pupils put down their hands and picked up their brushes with their toes and mouths! It was messy, challenging and a beautiful lesson in perspective, empathy and artistic determination.
