Reading and a love of books is an amazing part of learning. At Ambleford School, enjoying a book, comic or just learning about words is a part of everyday life!

A woodland walk first thing to collect the acorns for our home made abacus’ followed by small group consolidation in the round house. Just because we don’t have walls, doesn’t mean we don’t learn!

Today we celebrated Roald Dahl day with lots of exciting activities linked to his amazing books! Making masks to help us tell the story of the Enormous Crocodile, making clay model insects like the ones in James and the Giant Peach and making pond ‘medicines’ that would make George proud! A great day exploring language and literacy for all
