Singing Day

Jane Hanna a professional musician for over 30 years, performing in this country and all around the world to lead our singing day. She has been Musical Director of Women In Harmony in Tunbridge Wells since 2024 and looks forward to meeting you and guiding your singing at this special event.

Today, let's celebrate those bonds—take a moment to celebrate the amazing friends you’ve made along the way.

Our Whist Day, with Ploughman’s lunch and dessert, is always popular. We look forward to welcoming many familiar faces and hopefully some new players. You do not have to attend as a pair, single players are welcome and you will be put with another solo member.

🎶 CALLING ALL MEMBERS: Get Ready to Sing Your Heart Out! 🎶
Looking for a day filled with incredible music, great camaraderie, and the wonderful health benefits of singing?
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our guest leader for the day is Jane Hanna! Jane is a phenomenal professional musician with over 30 years of global performing experience. Since 2024, she has been the Musical Director of Women In Harmony in Tunbridge Wells, and she cannot wait to guide us through this special event.
Whether you sing in the shower or read sheet music fluently, this day is for you. You do not need to be able to read music to participate!

Federation Day 2
Wednesday 23 September at Ditton Community Centre
Speakers:
Chris O’Donoghue who will be talking to us about the gardens of Great Dixter. Chris, offers an intimate view of why Great Dixter always has surprises, as well as Christopher Lloyd’s earlier days to the present days of Head Gardener Fergus Garret.
Helen Tobias, who is talking to us about the highs and lows of shoes. Who doesn’t like shoes? Helen has a long history of talks specifically designed for women, to make them feel confident. Helen will be bringing a variety of shoes and, possibly, a quick quiz.
Linda Regan, some of you may remember her from Hi-De-Hi. She will be talking about her life as an actress, recounting tales of actors who were lovely, others…. Linda has also turned to Crime Writing, how to kill people off without getting caught. She was also the wife of the late and very talented Brian Murphy.

Charlton Park RFC Tuesday 10 November for WIs in Cray, London and Oxleas Group. It is hoped to hold another quiz for other London groups if requested in other areas
