Skills for Life. Prepared to Serve Others

Before the summer break, our Sixth Form students took part in CPR and defibrillator training, developing practical life-saving skills that could one day make a critical difference.

Led by volunteers from Community First Responders Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells, students learned how to recognise cardiac arrest, perform effective CPR and use a defibrillator with confidence. Through hands-on practice, they gained valuable knowledge and skills to help others when every second counts.

At St Gregory's, we believe education extends beyond the classroom. Alongside academic achievement, we are committed to developing young people who are ready to serve their communities with compassion, courage and responsibility. Learning how to protect life and care for others is an important part of that mission.

We are grateful to the volunteers from Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells CFR's for generously sharing their time and expertise with our students.

Opportunities such as this form part of a wider Sixth Form experience that encourages students to grow in knowledge, character and service to others, living out our vision of being Called to Greatness.

St Gregory's Students Celebrate GCSE Success and Look Ahead to the Next Chapter

🍀Good luck to all our Year 11 students receiving their GCSE results tomorrow 🌞

Results Day marks an important milestone and the culmination of years of hard work, determination and perseverance.

Whether students are progressing to Sixth Form or another pathway, guidance is available to help them explore their Post-16 options.

Students seeking additional advice following the release of their results can access free online guidance meetings with an independent careers adviser on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August. Booking opens at 9:00am on Results Day.

📝GCSE Results Day is Almost Here⌛

Last week's A Level results celebrated students progressing to universities, apprenticeships and exciting next steps. As GCSE Results Day approaches, we look forward to welcoming the next generation of students into the St Gregory's Sixth Form community.

Our Sixth Form offers a supportive environment where students are known, loved and called to greatness, with a broad range of academic and enrichment opportunities to help them prepare for life beyond school.

Today, we congratulate our Year 13 students on their A Level results and celebrate all that they have achieved during their time at St Gregory's.

Whether heading to university, starting an apprenticeship, entering employment or exploring new opportunities, each student's journey is unique. We are particularly proud of the way they have embraced opportunities, supported one another and stepped forward as leaders and role models within our school community. They leave us as young people who have grown not only academically, but personally too.

We are proud and grateful to the staff and families who have supported them, and excited to see what comes next.

🏃‍♂️ House Spirit Shines at Sports Day 2026

Students and staff enjoyed a fantastic day of competition on the school field as our four houses battled it out across track, field and team events.

Congratulations to Kolbe House, who claimed the overall Sports Day title, and to the Year 9 Teresa relay team, who set a new 4x100m record with an impressive time of 51.9 seconds.

With team sports, field events, sprint finals, relays and tug of war taking place throughout the day, Sports Day once again showcased the determination, sportsmanship and house spirit that make St Gregory's such a special community.

A huge thank you to our PE department, Sixth Form leaders and staff from across the school whose support helped make the day such a success.
