Music at Skinners'

What a fantastic afternoon of piano music from Freddy. So lovely to have such a full audience of friends, family, past students and staff to support.

All set for our next tea time concert tonight with Alumnus Freddy Perkins performing his diploma recital programme. Do join us at 4.00pm biscuits at the ready!

This morning year 9 choir went over to sing to the residents of The Dairy over the road. They sang 2 songs a Capella as well as the soloists. It’s so good to be out in the community making music. Will done gents.

A lovely tea time concert today, short, but sweet. Lovely to welcome so many friends in the audience, and especially good to see past student Joe back as an accompanist for a year 8 ahead of his exam. Next tea time concert is next Monday!

Lots of great pieces coming up in our tea time concert this Thursday, but still space for more. Do sign up on the door to the music office before Thursday morning.

We are so lucky in the community that we have in Skinners’. One family has generously donated a large sum that means we have been able to purchase a new mixing desk that will benefit both the music dept and in productions and concerts. This is exciting as well, as we begin delivery music technology a level from September in addition to a level music. Thank you so much to all those who support us so well, in particular this family for all they do and this generous gift.

Another busy few weeks coming up with so much for everyone in the community to enjoy and be a part of. Sign up sheet for the informal teatime concert is on the music office door, sign up form for dead leopards being shared on teams, tickets for the ceilidh are available for free on the Google form, sign up to sing in the community choir and just turn up to be audience at anything!
