🎨 Adult Art Classes– Wednesday 6.30-8.30pm & Thursday 1-3pm🎨

I’m pleased to be opening a new Wednesday evening adult art class at art-K West Cornwall, from 6.30–8.30pm.

📅 New term starts Wednesday 16th September
📍 Krowji, Redruth

The class is suitable for all abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced artists.

With small class sizes of no more than 7 students, I’m able to provide individual 1:1 guidance and tuition throughout each session. Each student can develop their own artistic skills, interests and ideas at their own pace, with support tailored to their individual needs.

🎨 Art-K West Cornwall Summer School 🎨
Congratulations to Lily-Rose (9) on completing this wonderful Artist's Cat inspired painting! 🐱🎨
Lily-Rose chose to take inspiration from the colourful work of Yayoi Kusama and spent the day developing her ideas into this beautiful finished piece. We love the creativity, confidence and attention to detail she has shown.
It's been a fantastic start to our Summer School, with children creating paintings, drawings and clay projects while exploring the work of inspiring artists in our friendly studio at Krowji.
There are now just a few places remaining on some of our upcoming sessions. If your child enjoys being creative and would like to join us this summer, we'd love to welcome them.

Story time: Congratulations Evie (9) for creating this incredible van Gogh inspired painting. Evie has used fantastic brush work to capture the feeling of a hot, windy day. Van Gogh painted many of his masterworks in Arles in the south of france where the mistral winds are ferocious! He tied his easle down and did whatever it took to paint outside in very challenging conditions. Evie used a variety of brushes, she mixed and diluted her colours until they left the brush in exactly the right way. She added glitter to her wheat feild . It's an Evie masterwork!

Story time: Congratulations to Vanesa (7) for her beautiful collage! When Vanesa started this project she didn't know what collage was so we looked at examples and talked about it. Then Vanesa started to have inspired ideas and made drawings. We use reference images and teach foundational skills in looking and drawing. Vanesa didn't know how to create a tree, she was representing it as a 'lollipop' (straight trunk with a cloud of green floating at the top!), so we looked out of the studio window at real trees and talked about how they grow, and then look what happened, her tree is fantastic! Drawing is really about looking and this skill is embedded into all of our projects, designed to support the quality education of our next generation of artists. Thanks for reading :)
