🎉 Our next CMST Pupil of the Month is Amelia! 🎷🎶

Amelia is an enthusiastic and dedicated musician who continues to go from strength to strength. After winning at the Camborne Music Festival in 2024 and progressing through three rounds of the Rotary Young Musician competition, she has continued to challenge herself and develop her playing.

She has since taken up the tenor saxophone, is keen to learn the flute, and performs with both the Falmouth School Jazz Band and Carrick Breeze. Her playing and sight-reading have made fantastic progress over the past year, and she is even using her musical talents towards the skills section of her Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Amelia on this well-deserved recognition. We can't wait to see where her musical journey takes her next! 👏🎵

🎉 We have a few CMST Pupil of the Month winners to catch up on this month, and we're starting with Ted from our Guitar department! 🎸

Ted has previously been recognised as Pupil of the Month, and he continues to impress with his commitment and determination. Currently working towards his Trinity Rock Grade 3 exam, he's pushing himself with increasingly challenging repertoire and has nearly mastered part of the solo from AC/DC's You Shook Me All Night Long – already playing at around Grade 4 level while still in Year 6!

It's fantastic to see such enthusiasm, dedication and willingness to challenge himself. Congratulations, Ted. Keep up the brilliant work! 👏🎶

🎻 What a fantastic day at Hidden Valley! 🎶

Our SuperStrings had a wonderful time performing at Hidden Valley in Launceston, sharing their music with visitors before enjoying everything the attraction has to offer.

A huge thank you to the team at Hidden Valley for their warm welcome and generosity in hosting us. It was a brilliant opportunity for our young musicians to perform in such a unique setting and then explore the incredible puzzles, trails and attractions together.

Songtreats Music Club is back this July with three exciting days of music-making for children in **Years 3–6**. Whether they're new to music or already learning an instrument, they'll enjoy exploring songwriting, composition, improvisation and much more in a friendly, supportive environment.
