🌍 International Recognition for Cornwall Health Library!

We're delighted to share that Sinead Blowers, University of Plymouth School of Nursing & Midwifery Librarian at Cornwall Health Library, has played a key role in an international research collaboration as the lead Information Specialist for OPTIMUM (Obesity in Reproduction, Perinatal and FeTal Health: International MUltidisciplinary Maternal Health Research Network).

Over the past year, Sinead has worked alongside researchers and clinicians from around the world on a groundbreaking project exploring the evidence surrounding incretin-based medications and reproductive health. The resulting publication provides a comprehensive review of the available evidence and expert consensus recommendations to help inform clinical practice and future research.

This is just the beginning for the OPTIMUM network, which will continue to bring together international expertise and research to improve maternal health outcomes for women and families worldwide. 🌟

Congratulations to Sinead on this fantastic achievement and for showcasing the value of library and knowledge specialists in international health research.

We celebrate Disability Pride Month every July. Come see our book display at our Truro branch this July.
Its an important moment for disabled people to come together as a community. An opportunity to share experiences and start conversations.
Its a celebration of the creativity, resilience and achievements of dusabled people.
Disability pride month is for anyone with a disability - or anyone who wishes to show their allyship by celebrating their disabled communities.
Its a time for embracing disability identity positively. And challenging the negative attitudes toward disability.

Thank you to Sustainable RCHT team for organising the showing to People's Emergency Briefing tonight. Really eye opening and it sparked a great conversation afterwards about what we could do locally as an NHS Workforce. Looking forward to seeing what actions might happen in the future and how we can help on an individual and team level. In the meantime, if you were unable to attend or would like to read more or see some videos and links to research, please take a look at our specially created Sustainability resource list here: https://wakelet.com/wake/_RvRFhGs19GRrRvWiCrJ7 (or scan the QR code in pics) This includes a link to the new RCHT Green plan too.
Any books on the list can be sent to any healthcare location in Cornwall and there are ebooks available too πŸ’š Look at for more events from the sustainable team in the future too - we highly recommend sustainability climatechange
