When energy is unpredictable, exercise needs to adapt.
Nordic walking spreads effort across the whole body, reducing local overload and fatigue.
Studies show improvements in physical function compared to normal walking.
Movement becomes manageable, rhythmic, and easier to recover from.

What an absolutely cracking Sundown Walk!

Tonight’s Level 3 crew headed from Porthtowan along the coast to Chapel Porth, before dropping down into the valley, winding our way through Park Shady and back to Porthtowan.

Beautiful scenery, great company, plenty of laughs and a fantastic walk. Then the perfect way to finish it all off, fish and chips by the sea!

Evenings like this are what it’s all about.

Enjoy the pictures!

Such a good one with the Level 3 crew on Tuesday!

Great company, plenty of chat and a good push up the zig-zag hill to finish.

We also had Richard, a fellow INWA Instructor from further up the line, join us for the morning. Always lovely to welcome a fellow instructor along for a walk!

Lovely walk, lovely people and a few tired legs by the end.

We offer different walk levels because people walk for different reasons.

Some days suit a gentler walk for confidence or recovery. Others fit a steady, regular pace. When energy is high, a more demanding route can feel right. Each level has its own pace, distance, and terrain.

Many walkers move between levels depending on how they feel and what they need. That choice is intentional, not a step backwards.

The aim stays the same. You walk at a level that supports you, helps you recover when needed, and fits your life.

Love seeing Nordic Walking getting this kind of attention.

The Independent has featured a brilliant piece on what Nordic Walking can offer, with Katie Atkins from INWA talking about technique, whole-body movement, strength, fitness, mobility and balance.

It is a great one to share with anyone who still thinks Nordic Walking is simply walking with poles.

Many people say the workshop is the moment Nordic walking finally makes sense.
Once technique is right, posture improves, movement flows, and walking feels different.
That understanding is what sets you up long term.

Last night was one of those evenings you really want to bottle.

We set off from Mylor Bridge with the air feeling a little cooler, which suited us perfectly because we certainly got a move on.

We followed the shoreline, made our way to the Pandora Inn for a well-earned drink, then headed back round to Mylor before finishing the evening with a lovely meal at the Lemon Arms.

The low evening light was beautiful and there was a definite hint of autumn starting to creep in.

A gorgeous Sundowner from start to finish. Great walking, great company and such a lovely way to spend an evening.
