We visited Mitchell Fruit Farm for the very first time on Wednesday and had the most lovely time!

The children observed and explored a whole host of exciting things growing around the farm. There were huge sunflowers, raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb, wild flowers and meadow flowers. They particularly enjoyed making their way around the landscaped garden area, weaving in and out of the little flower beds which were bursting with interesting plants, flowers and shrubs.

The strawberries were growing at a perfect height for little hands to pick and we enjoyed them for our afternoon snack with a little scoop of ice cream! Delicious! 🍓

SEPTEMBER!
As we get ready for a brand new academic year and prepare to welcome our 2026/2027 cohort of Rising Stars, we look forward to a busy and exciting month ahead!
With Autumn fast approaching, we have plenty to look forward to including our brand new sessions with Supastrikers and Petals and Puddles!
We will also officially be launching our new journey with 'The Big Brush Club' and look forward to welcoming Oral Health Facilitator Maxine Barthorpe to the setting on Wednesday the 16th of September, to help us celebrate and get us up and running with our first big brush!
Parents, just a polite reminder that we are closed on Monday 31st of August for the bank holiday.
Our summer holiday period ends on Friday the 4th of September and Monday the 7th of September will mark the first day of our Autumn term.
We cant wait to welcome back our term time only children and our new little stars to the setting!

These amazing little humans flew the nest today!

Goodbyes are never easy, but If children can leave us having had a lovely time, and are happy, confident, excited and ready for the next stage of their journeys, we cannot ask for more! ❤️

As we prepare for 4 more of our amazing pre-schoolers to fly the nest this week, we look back at how far they have come, how much they have learned, developed and grown in confidence, and the amazing memories we have shared together.

Starting as tiny babies and toddlers, they leave us 4 very happy, kind, bright and strong little humans, ready to smash the next stage of their journey’s and follow their dreams.

Whilst we have played a small part in their little lives so far, they have played a huge part in ours too. They will always be part of our Rising Stars family and ‘proud’ doesn’t even come close!

Keep shining and dream big, our wonderful class of 2026! 🌟 ❤️ 🌟

We had such a wonderful morning at Healeys Cyder Farm. The children loved meeting the animals, exploring the farm and were very excited to have a tractor ride around the orchard. Who knew there were so many different varieties of apples! 🍎🚜

🐞 🌷 News just in….!🌷 🐞

We are delighted (and very excited!) to be offering exclusive monthly sessions with an amazing new family run business, starting in September.

Situated on the Roseland, Petals & Puddles is a magical outdoor space from which children can play, learn and explore through nature.

This fantastic new site offers a whole host of wonderful opportunities and experiences for children to engage in and enjoy.

Run by a qualified Early Years teacher, our sessions with Petals and Puddles will be tailored not only to the varying ages of our children, but also to specific seasons and areas of focus or interest within the group.

We can’t wait for our first session and know that the children are going to have the best time!

Today was an extra special swim day! It was the very last Rising Stars swim session for 4 of our pre-schoolers and the very first for one of our new little stars!

It has been incredible to watch the pre-schoolers grow in confidence in the water during their time with us, and they have just loved their time in the pool.

Quarterdeck St Ives has been the perfect venue for us and the amazing staff have looked after us like royalty. They were so lovely with the children today and having witnessed their growth and progression over the past few years, were sad to say goodbye too.

Our new little Rising Star has an absolute blast for her first session! We certainly have another little Cornish water baby in our swim team!

It was the first outing with our new swim bags too and 9 very happy children headed home this evening excited to experience their first solar eclipse! ☀️ 🌒

📦 DELIVERY! 📦

Today we received our first order of oral health and hygiene resources from At Home Dental, and are looking forward to embarking on our new adventure with The Big Brush Club!

Each child will choose a special toothbrush which will be individual to them and recognisable not only by colour, but also by a fun little picture!

Once a day, they will each take part in a supervised toothbrusing session during their time at the setting. There will be lots of lovely activities to accompany the scheme and we have a whole host of fantastic resources to help promote and support healthy toothbrushing routines.

The Big Brush Club, funded by the NHS, have also sent us some little packs for children to take home with them to help kickstart their participation in the scheme. These will be handed to all parents over the coming weeks!
