Sport Update
Recently, we celebrated our sports days. It was so great to see so many families coming in for our traditional sports day picnics even in the poor weather - thank you for bringing such positivity and being great spectators!
We try to include every element of what a sports day should be: fun, inclusive, competitive and with teamwork and sportsmanship at the heart of it. The junior sports day consisted of a carousel led by some of our ex-pupils who are now Richard Lander Sports Leaders and Steve from Plymouth Argyle. Then each class had a fun race followed by the traditional flat races and long distances in the afternoon.
Our infant sports day sports carousel was led by our very own Year 6 pupils who performed their roles of sports leaders excellently. Again, like the junior sports day, this was followed with a picnic on the field followed by fun races and traditional races.
Well done to everyone on two great days!
The girls' football team finished their season with two wins: 6-1 versus Threemilestone and 3-0 versus Tregolls. A huge thank you to the St Agnes Local Improvements Committee for their generosity in sponsoring the school with new sports hoodies and rain jackets for both children and staff.
