I started singing at a young age and turned professional after I left university; having had the opportunity to perform on a national and international level, I have been involved in music performance for over a decade, and so have had plenty of time to develop a passion for the arts. Vox Vita means “voice as a way of life”. Singing has a host of benefits, amongst which are stress relief, aerobic
exercise, and can even boost the immune system as well as improve respiratory issues (speaking as a former sufferer of asthma). A lot of students I encounter can suffer from a lack of confidence and this stops people from achieving their true potential. I aim to equip all students with the tools to grow both musically and personally, and sing with confidence and own personal style. Having completed a PGCE I have spent time with a wide range of students, from recent school-leavers to mature students and also teach secondary students but I provide something for all levels, whether just trying singing out for the first time or looking to hone your skills. I am classically trained, and am confident teaching and performing either classical or contemporary repertoire in a variety of genres. In addition, if looking for a knowledge of theory, this is also something I can provide up to Grade 5 standard. My standard rate is £15 per half hour or £25 per hour, and lessons can either be on a lesson-by-lesson basis or booked in blocks of four, at which point the price per session reduces.
