I received an 'Outstanding' in my last Ofsted inspection and I aim to always improve, so I can offer a better service. I always enjoy each day tailoring activities to each child’s individual needs to stimulate & encouraging them so they are having fun & they are learning as well, happy and contentented in a home from home. I continually attend various training courses to keep up to date. I have a
CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Childminding Practice as well as up to date Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage principles to promote learning, development & care for children from birth to five years. I am a Member of CORAM PACEY, as well as being a Member of Falmouth & District Childminding Group. We are a Non Smoking household. I look after Children aged between 3 months and 12 years old, I except 2 year old funding and also provide funding for three and four year old children who are all entitled to 15 hours and 30 hours of Early Years (EY) Entitlement per week. I offer full time and part time care according to your needs, all hours are flexible. I offer before and after School and holiday care for 5 to 12 year olds. During the long summer months I run a Holiday cover, going out most days visiting local attractions. We love to get out & about most days, in term time as well as the School holidays. We like visit local parks and woods as well as local amenities like the Seal Sanctuary, Trebah Gardens, Trelissick Gardens, Godolphin house, Flickr Donkey Sanctuary, Truro Museum, Cathedral and Library,
We sometimes go further afield and visit places such as the Eden Project, Newquay Zoo, Lost Garden of Heligan, Wheel Martyn to name a few! On every trip there is something new to learn and see. At home we love to observe wildlife in the garden so there is a free flow system in the summer from inside to out so we can spend more time there. In the winter we dress up in our waterproofs and venture out in all weathers. I have a swing and slide as well as a lovely playhouse. We like to grow our own vegetables and then recycle the peelings. I live in a beautiful cosy old cottage and I have an airy, light playroom with loads of toys and equipment to play with. Being an Artist myself, we do lots of drawing and craft.
