“I cried after you left, the first day you dropped your baby with me.
Not because it was hard,
Because I understood what you were trusting me with.

I know your child’s favourite song.
I know which stuffed animal they need at nap time.
I know the face they make right before they cry -
And I’m already moving toward them before it happens.

This home is also my home.
My family loves here. My children grow up here.
And every single day, I open the door and say
“Come in - you’re safe here too”.

I don’t clock out at 5.
I think about your kids at the supermarket.
I notice when something feels off.
I celebrate their firsts like they’re my own -
Because in this little world we’ve built, they kind of are.

So when you wonder if a childminder is worth it -
Know that the person you’ve chosen to watch your child
Actually loves them. Full stop ❤️

It’s just so happens that childminder appreciation week falls on the day that I passed my Ofsted registration 3 years ago!

What a crazy journey it’s been but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Here’s to many more years doing what I love!

After around 3 weeks of watching and waiting, we finally set our butterflies free! 🦋

The children have loved watching them grow from tiny caterpillars and seeing each stage up close. It’s been such a fun little journey for all of us.

We were all so excited watching them spread their wings and fly off into the sky!

What a lovely morning we’ve had at the farm! 🌿🐖

Continuing our spring theme, we explored the signs of the season and chatted all about baby animals. We were even lucky enough to see the sheep and their lambs being returned to the field! 🐑

Today the tots were busy little gardeners 🌱

We planted some very special seeds for their mummies ready for Mother’s Day, and also planted lavender, mint and rosemary seeds in our planter to create our very own sensory garden. We’re excited to watch them grow and can’t wait to smell and explore them once they start to sprout!

Of course, once we had finished with the soil, the diggers came out and the real fun began! 🚜 There was lots of digging, scooping and messy play as the children explored the soil together.

Spring is finally on the way! 🧡

🧧🏮 Today the Tots celebrated Lunar New Year! 🏮🧧

We made beautiful red lanterns, tasted some yummy Asian food, and listened to traditional Chinese music. We also talked about how children celebrate this special festival.

A lovely morning of learning, creativity, and culture! ✨
