Today, our Outreach and HR team had a fantastic time at Devon’s Inclusion SEND Conference at Sandy Park in Exeter, where our team had the opportunity to showcase our outreach work in the exhibition area and connect with professionals from across the sector.

We were proud to deliver workshops on Alternative Secondary Pathways and Early Years Transitions, sharing approaches, insights, and practical strategies to support children, young people, and families through key stages of their educational journey.

This work has been commissioned by, and delivered in partnership with Devon County Council, reflecting our shared commitment to improving inclusion and creating positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND across Devon.

Thank you to everyone who attended our sessions, visited our exhibition stand, and contributed to such valuable discussions throughout the day.

This week, our Outreach continues in schools, with visits to Galmpton Primary, alongside time spent at Brunel and Pencalenick supporting SEND provision and practice.

We’re also really looking forward to the SEND Conference at Sandy Park, Exeter on 11th June, where our Trust Outreach and CPD Manager, Becca and our Trust Outreach Advisor, Pippa will be running workshops on the following:

• Alternative Pathways of Support in Secondary Settings

Both sessions focus on reflection, collaboration, and sharing practice, creating space to explore what really supports children and young people with SEND across different stages of their journey.

🌟 Trust Outreach in Action 🌟

It’s been a fantastic week of collaboration, reflection, and professional development across our Trust schools!

Our Trust Outreach Advisor has been at Eden Park, carrying out a learning walk and working closely with the Headteacher and SENCo to plan targeted support. This will include whole-school CPD, ensuring staff feel confident and equipped to meet the needs of all learners.

Meanwhile, our Trust Outreach & CPD Development Manager has been delivering a week-long programme of CPD across SPT schools:

• Monday – Mill Water School
• Tuesday – Doubletrees
• Wednesday – Bosvena
• Thursday – Nancealverne

Sessions have focused on key areas such as cognitive load and executive functioning skills, creating space for staff teams to reflect on their practice and strengthen their professional toolkit to better support children in our settings.

We’re incredibly proud to support our schools through high-quality outreach and meaningful CPD, helping every member of staff, and every pupil, to thrive.
